Martin Kaymer +1014 and home-town hero Joost Luiten +1935 headline this week’s KLM Open. Both players have won in The Netherlands, Kaymer in 2010 and Luiten in 2013. Defending champion Paul Casey is not in the field.
Eight-time major winner Tom Watson makes his first visit to The Netherlands.
Other notables scheduled to play include Tommy Fleetwood +3050, Jamie Donaldson +2750, Andy Sullivan +2950 and Miguel Angel Jimenez +5031.
Kennemer Country Club will host this year’s KLM Open for the 23rd time. Designed by the legendary Harry Colt along with Frank Pennink and SJ Van Hengel, Kennemer Country Club is an exposed seaside course with the rugged terrain typical of links layouts. Hilly but with no water hazards, it measures a very short 6,626 yards and will play to a par of 70. Wind is usually a factor and that adds another layer of protection as the winning score never gets out of hand with the winner usually banking between 12 and 16 under par.

Eddie Pepperell +2950 loves playing links style courses. He closed with twin 66’s on the weekend at Kennemer last year to finish fourth and and followed it up this year with top finishes at both the Irish Open T2 and Scottish Open T4. Pepperell was T22 at the Czech Masters in his last start.
Soren Kjeldsen +3351 is quietly having a very good year. Following a win at Royal County Down in the Irish Open, he kept it going with two second places. The latter came in his home tournament in Denmark so some of that impressive form is fresh. At Kennemer he’s finished T8 in 2013 and T14 in 2006 so given his current form, he offers gamers plenty of value at +3351.
Kristoffer Broberg +3627 is one of Europe’s hottest players after reeling off top 10’s in each of his last three starts. He started the run with a T8 at the European Masters, tied for second in Denmark and followed it up with a T8 at the Czech Masters. He currently stands at No. 55 in the Race to Dubai standings and needs to keep playing well in order to stay in the top 60.
