Six of the top 10 players in the Race to Dubai are in the field for this week’s Nedbank Golf Challenge in South Africa. Tommy Fleetwood leads the standings and he has a chance to put some distance between himself and the next three golfers, as Justin Rose, Sergio Garcia and Jon Rahm are taking the week off to prep for next week’s finale in Dubai. Tyrell Hatton is fifth in the rankings and he is listed as the favorite to win this week. We’ll look to bounce back strong after struggling with last week’s matchup picks. Let’s look at the odds and picks for this week’s Nedbank Golf Challenge.

Nedbank Golf Challenge Matchup Picks
Before we get to the picks there are a few things to consider. Three of the last four winners of this event have led the field in greens-in-regulation, so that is our key stat to consider for this week. Scrambling is also a key stat to consider because this course features a lot of trouble areas.
Tommy Fleetwood +110 vs. Matthew Fitzpatrick
I think Fleetwood will be in contention for the win this week. He has won twice on the European Tour this season and I think he can get his third win of the season. I normally don’t go against Fitzpatrick but this play is all about Fleetwood who ranks first on the European Tour in GIR.
Eddie Pepperell +109 vs. Thorbjorn Olesen
In his last six starts, Pepperell has three top five finishes. His last seven outings have seen him finish in the top ten six times. He also ranks well in our key stat of the week, as he is 21st on the European Tour in greens-in-regulation. Olesen is just 109th in GIR. I think the wrong golfer is favored in this matchup, so I will take Pepperell.
George Coetzee +106 vs. Peter Uihlein
Coetzee would really like to win his home tournament and he is in good form with 17 of his last 24 rounds being under 70. He has three top ten finishes and he finished nicely last week with a 66 in the final round at the Turkish Airlines Open. I will take Coetzee at plus money in this matchup.
Bernd Wiesberger -150 vs. Ian Poulter
Wiesberger ranks 29th on the European Tour in GIR, while Poulter ranks 70th. Wiesberger could be in contention for the win this week, while Poulter may do well just to make the cut. I will lay the price and take Wiesberger.
Shane Lowry -133 vs. Charl Schwartzel
This is another one of our key stat of the week matchups. Lowry ranks 46th on the European Tour in GIR, while Schwartzel ranks 159th. I will lay the price and take Lowry.
Fabrizio Zanotti -121 vs. Jeunghun Wang
This is the under the radar stat matchup of the week, as Zanotti ranks 56h in GIR, while Wang is an awful 197th in GIR. I will lay the small price and take Zanotti.
