The PGA Tour is starting to warm up and has the strongest field to date at this week’s Farmers Insurance Open. Defending champion Jason Day +685 is joined by Rickie Fowler +1285, Phil Mickelson +2047, Patrick Reed +2750, Justin Rose +2225 and Dustin Johnson +1797 and hopefully we will see a showdown of the world’s best.
Two course will be used for this week’s event. The host course will be Torrey Pines - South, which is a monster, measuring over 7,600 yards. The North Course will also be used the first two days and it is where the players have to take advantage of and shoot a low score. The North is some 600 yards shorter than the South and you will see most of the low scores on the weaker North design.
Last year Jason Day survived a four man playoff and finally out dueled J.B. Holmes to secure the win. It kick started Day’s year and possibly his career as he would later go on to pick up his first major win and propel him into the conversation with Jordan Spieth and Rory McIlroy as the best player on the planet.

ODDS ANALYSIS
Interesting nugget: Just once in the past dozen years has the 54-hole leader at Torrey Pines closed the deal. That was Woods, who romped to an eight-shot win in 2008. So, keep that in mind when wagering on fourth round matchups and updated golf odds.
Lucas Glover +10050 has turned the corner and playing some solid golf. He leads the PGA Tour in ball-striking which will come in handy on the super tough Torrey Pines South course. He offers gamers the best value on the board and if he is in a matchup, don’t hesitate to fire away on the former Clemson star.
Charley Hoffman +10050 is having a hard time finding his game. He used to be a great ball-striker but lately, he can’t find it. Until he shows me some form, I am fading him. Hoffman missed the cut last week at one of his favorite stops and is likely to do the same this week.
