The PGA Tour heads to Sea Island, Georgia for the sixth edition of the RSM Classic. It also is the last tournament of the wrap around schedule and also has a few changes.
The biggest change is that two courses will be utilized over the first two rounds. Rather than the Seaside Course standing alone, the Plantation Course joins it as a partner course for the first time. The field will alternate between the two during the first two rounds, much like what we are used to seeing at Torrey Pines with the North and South Courses.
Sea Island residents Zach Johnson +1389 and Chris Kirk +4850 join defending champion Robert Streb +3185 as headliners for this week’s event.
Other notable players scheduled to compete include Bill Haas +3277, Matt Kuchar +2011 and recent tour winner Justin Thomas +1806.
With anchored putting banned starting Jan. 1, it’s the last TOUR event for Tim Clark and Carl Pettersson before having to abandon the broomstick putter and switch to a regular one. Both players need to take advantage this week - it could cost both players their livelihood in the near future.

ODDS ANALYSIS
Kevin Kisner +2009 is going to win his first PGA Tour tournament sooner rather than later and this could be the week. He finished T4 a year ago on the Seaside course and nearly picked up his first win in his last start at the CIMB Classic, before fading and finishing second. He lives in Georgia, went to college in Georgia, so the stars are aligned for Kisner to win this week.
Rookie Patton Kizzire +3249 is a Sea Island resident who won the money title on the Web.com Tour last year. He already has amassed two top 5’s in four starts to begin his PGA Tour career. The home cooking will taste good and a win will jump start his career.
Patrick Rodgers +2716 is young but mature. His game is solid week after week and has turned into one of the most consistent players on the PGA Tour. His last three starts he’s gone T13, T20, T10. Once he learns to put four rounds together. look out!
