Although most golf fans will be following the WGC - Dell Match Play tournament, the hard core fans will also be checking in on the 2016 Puerto Rico Open.
The tournament has attracted its strongest field that I can remember with the likes of Ian Poulter +3000 and Luke Donald +3200 scheduled to compete. Adding some international flavor are South Africans Dean Burmester +4850 and George Coetzee +2800.
Canada's Graham DeLaet +1600 is the betting favorite, followed by William McGirt +2400 and Scott Brown +1700. Brown won this event in 2013 and has been playing steady golf all year.
Coco Beach Golf & Country Club - Championship course will host the event for the very first time. The layout measures 7,506 yards and will play to a par 72. Formerly known as Trump International Puerto Rico, the club is under new ownership and is now using its original name. The legendary Tom Kite designed the course and it was built into the foothills of the El Yunque Rainforest. The tradewinds make the venue very tricky and those players that have played here before have a huge advantage.
TV Coverage: Thursday-Friday, 10:30 a.m.-1:30 p.m. ET - Golf Channel. Saturday-Sunday, 9 p.m.-midnight - GC.

ODDS ANALYSIS
Veterans always seem to thrive at Coco Beach, thus, Jerry Kelly +3550 should do well this week. Kelly has played here every year since its debut in 2008 and plays well. He is a great pick in all formats.
Retief Goosen +3350 is another veteran that has been around the block a few times and should thrive on the tricky track. Goose has showed signs of life in 2016 but has yet to put four solid rounds together. This week he does and reaps the benefits!
David Toms +6000 isn’t flashy but this course should fit his game. He hits it down the middle, is a good putter and loves playing courses that are short and tight that require course management. Toms is also a great pick in all formats.
