World No. 1 Dustin Johnson is favored to win the RBC Canadian Open, which begins on Thursday in Oakville, Ontario, Canada. Johnson has not played well recently, missing the cut in two of his last three events. He has not finished in the Top 10 since a tie for 2nd at the Wells Fargo Championship but he could turn things around this week against a field that doesn’t include any other players ranked in the Top 10 World Rankings.

Odds Analysis
Dustin Johnson +850
It is definitely past time for Johnson to start showing that he is still the No. 1 ranked player in the world. He has played really well in this tournament in the past and this will be his fifth start in the event. We get a little value at these odds because Johnson has not been in top form.
Matt Kuchar +1050
I would be really surprised if Kuchar played well this week after the disappointment of losing the Open Championship. He did tie for 9th in this event last year and he tied for 7th in 2015. Maybe he can just flip the switch but I am not betting on him.
Charley Hoffman +2550
Hoffman definitely looks to be overdue for a win, as he has four Top 10 finishes this season. He is ranked No. 38 in the world and he has made the cut in nine straight events. He tied for 7th at Glen Abbey two years ago. He is 28th on the PGA Tour in birdie average and he is third in eagles.
Graham Delaet +5050
A Canadian has not won this event in seemingly forever but Delaet is playing well enough to contend this year. "I truly believe that if I play good golf, I can be in the hunt, and that's kind of just the main thing," Delaet said to UPI. "You never know if you're going to win or not, but I'd love to put four good rounds of golf together because I've never done that at the Canadian Open." Delaet is in the Top 25 on the PGA Tour in strokes gained: off the tee and he is in the Top 25 in putting. He has a couple of Top 10 finishes this year and if Johnson doesn’t win then Delaet could hit at big odds.
Adam Hadwin +7550
I am surprised the odds on Hadwin are so high, as he is ranked in the Top15 in FedEx Cup points. He tied for 4th in this event in 2011 and tied for 7th two years ago. He is the highest-ranked Canadian in the field and in a weak field he could contend.
Course: Glen Abbey GC is a par 72 that measures 7,253 yards. It is the fourth time in the last five years the course has hosted the Canadian Open. This will be the 29th time Glen Abbey is hosting the Canadian Open. The course is known for the “Valley Holes,” which start at No. 11 with a tee shot down to a fairway about 60 feet below.
TV Coverage: CBS and Golf Channel
Notes:A total of 13 Canadians are in the field trying to win their national open. There are 22 players coming back from the Open Championship at Royal Birkdale to play in this event including runner-up Matt Kuchar. Last year, Jhonattan Vegas came from five shots back to get the win, with Johnson, Martin Laird and Jon Rahm finishing in a tie for second. No player has won this event in consecutive years since Jim Furyk in 2006-2007.
