RBC Heritage Matchups Odds and Picks

2017-GOLF-RBC-Heritage-Betting-Online

The RBC Heritage gets underway on Thursday, April 13 at Harbour Town with Matt Kuchar listed as the favorite. Accuracy is at a premium this week, as Harbour Town is one of the shortest courses on the tour at 7,099 yards. Kuchar is favored in his two matchups, as he is up against Brandt Snedeker and Kevin Kisner. We hit two of our three matchups at The Masters last week, so we’ll look to continue the winning trend at the RBC Heritage.

RBC Heritage Matchup Picks

Before we get into the picks, there are a few things to keep in mind. First, players that didn’t play in The Masters last week rarely do well in this event and second, driving accuracy is of paramount importance, so we’ll look for players who know how to put the ball in the fairway and rank highly in tee-to-green statistics.

The players ranked in the top 50 in the world who were in The Masters last week are Tyrrell Hatton, Matt Kuchar, Danny Willett, Branden Grace, Brandt Snedeker, Russell Knox, Rafa Cabrera Bello, Francesco Molinari, Marc Leishman, Matthew Fitzpatrick, Kevin Kisner, Bill Haas, Martin Kaymer, Yuta Ikeda, Adam Hadwin, Charley Hoffman, Hideto Tanihara and William McGirt.

Bill Haas -159 vs. Matthew Fitzpatrick

The course at Hilton Head really suits the game of Haas as he hits it straight and he doesn’t make many mistakes. He ranked 19th in greens in regulation and he is third in scrambling. He has seven top 20 finishes this season. This is also a go with the oddsmakers pick, as Fitzpatrick is actually ranked higher in the world golf rankings than Haas, yet Haas is favored.

Pat Perez -125 vs. Graeme McDowell

Perez has been consistent all season and he has three top 20 finishes in his last three starts. He fits the profile for this course and goes against McDowell who hasn’t done anything of late. McDowell has fallen to 86th in the latest world golf rankings.

William McGirt -125 vs. Billy Horschel

McGirt ranks sixth on the PGA Tour in fairways hit and 31st in greens in regulation. He has two top ten finishes at Harbour Town and this year he is playing some of his best golf. McGirt is ranked 50th in the latest world ranking, while Horshel is ranked 74th.

Luke Donald +122 vs. Marc Leishman

The one underdog I took last week didn’t work out, as I took Leishman and he didn’t come through against Snedeker. This week I am going against him and taking Donald at plus money. There is no doubting Donald at Harbour Town where he is second in all-time earnings even though he has yet to win. He has finished second four times and third twice. With a weak field, this could be the year he finishes in first.
