The PGA Tour heads to South Carolina for the 2016 RBC Heritage and the infamous Harbour Town Golf Links. This was one of Pete Dye’s first masterpieces and has withstood the test of time and still challenges the players without having to change things. It’s a ball-strikers paradise!!
World No. 1 Jason Day +600 and two-time major winner Zach Johnson +2300 headline a field that includes nine out of the top 30 in the official world golf rankings. Others scheduled to play include Paul Casey +2250, Matt Kuchar +2050, Brandt Snedeker +2000 and Bill Haas +4000.
Since 1983, only six players have won at Harbour Town that did not play the Masters the week before. That is a great stat to know when choosing your fantasy team or picking a winner this week. The boys who played at the Masters last week have a pretty good winning percentage the following week at Harbour Town.
Four of the past five winners have also been RBC ambassadors; Jim Furyk, Matt Kuchar, Graeme McDowell and Brandt Snedeker.
Defending champion Jim Furyk will not tee it up this week. He had wrist surgery in February and his return is unknown.
