The excitement of The Masters is now in the rear view mirror, as we turn our attention to Harbour Town Golf Links in Hilton Head, South Carolina for the RBC Heritage which begins on Thursday, April 13 with Matt Kuchar the favorite. None of the world’s top 15 players are in the field, so the event is wide open with Kuchar the favorite at odds of +1350. The highest ranked player in the field is Tyrell Hatton at No. 16 and he is listed with odds of +2250.

Odds Analysis
Matt Kuchar +1350
Kuchar had a memorable hole-in-one at the Masters and he has really done well in the past at Harbour Town. It was the site of his last PGA Tour win in 2014 and he finished in the top 10 in each of the past two years.
Bill Haas +2250
One of my top choices to win this week is Haas, who has the perfect game for this course. He was third last month at the WGC Match Play and he is fourth on the PGA Tour in strokes gained. When it comes to playing on Dye courses, Haas is really solid. He has a tie for 3rd, tie for 17th, tie for 43rd, tie for 14th, tie for 9th and a tie for 9th in his last six starts on Dye courses.
Tyrell Hatton +2250
My other top pick to win this week is Hatton who actually missed the cut at The Masters. That might not be bad news though, as he gets two extra days to prepare. He is also the highest ranked player in the field and we get him at odds of +2250.
Kevin Kisner +2550
Kisner has finished in the top 25 in six of his eight starts this year. He tied for second at the Arnold Palmer Invitational earlier this season. He lost at the RBC Heritage in a playoff two years ago.
Luke Donald +3250
When you talk about Harbour Town you simply have to mention Donald, as he has been great. He has finished in the top five a total of six times in the last eight years. He has never won this event but he has finished second four times. This is one of the weakest RBC Heritage fields in recent memory, so Donald should have a chance to win.
Course: Harbour Town Golf Links is the site for the RBC Heritage. The course is a par 71 that measures 7,099 yards. It is a very short course but it is still a tough test of golf having been designed by Pete Dye. It has narrow fairways and small greens and the course is filled with trees, making accuracy of extreme importance.
TV Coverage: CBS and Golf Channel
Notes: Branden Grace will be defending his title against what looks to be a weak field. Only eight of the world’s top 30 players are in the field and none of the top 15. Tyrell Hatton is the highest ranked player at No. 16. Grace came from three shots behind last year, as he shot a closing round 66. Since this event was moved to follow the Masters in 1983, only six players have won without playing in the previous week’s Masters.
Since this course demands accuracy, you can look at driving accuracy to get an idea of who will contend. Other stats to consider are Strokes Gained: tee-to-green, Par 4 Scoring and Bogey Avoidance.
