The last event of the wrap around fall schedule is this week in Sea Island, Georgia at the RSM Classic where Olympic bronze medalist Matt Kuchar +1200, Mr. 58 Jim Furyk +1800 and two-time major winner Zach Johnson +3030 are the headliners. Kuchar and Johnson are neighbors and reside nearby in St. Simons Island. U.S. Ryder Cup member Brandt Snedeker +1400 and defending champion Kevin Kisner +2000 are also playing.
Other players to keep your eye on include last year’s runner-up Kevin Chappell +1500, Bill Haas +1600, Chris Kirk +1400 and veteran Charles Howell III +2500. Chappell is a rising star still searching for his first PGA Tour win. Haas played well in his last start at the CIMB Classic where he was in the hunt with nine holes to go. Kirk is off to a hot start this fall with three top 10’s and Howell III is back playing well after missing time due to a surgery.
The last three events on the PGA Tour have all been won by long shots, players with odds +10000 or higher; Pat Perez , Rod Pampling and Cody Gribble, so this week don’t be afraid to dive in, follow the trend and take three or four long shots.
The Course: Sea Island Golf Club - Seaside course will host the event for the sixth consecutive year. The layout measures 7,005 yards and plays to a par 70. The course has rich history and dates all the way back to 1929, Bobby Jones once described Seaside as among the best nine holes he’d ever encountered. The Plantation course will also be in play the first two days before giving way to the Seaside course for the weekend. The Plantation is the easier of the two with four par 5’s, while the Seaside track can get dicey if the winds blow, although the winning score is generally around 20-under par.
In the previous five RSM Classic’s, four of them have come down to the wire, including two playoffs, so expect a great finish this week in Georgia.

ODDS ANALYSIS
Russell Henley +2200 has played in this tournament three times and is 3 for 3 with two top ten’s. He was T6 last year and if he gets the putter hot, look out for the former Georgia Bulldog. He makes a ton of money each year and most of it is on the East Coast.
Brian Harman +6500 is a resident at Sea Island and plays the courses regularly. He is still searching for a win on home soil and it could come this week. Harman is a great pick in all formats this week.
I like another long shot, Stewart Cink +8000. The former Open Championship winner has put together two straight top 15’s. Cink won at nearby Hilton Head and I have a feeling he is going to feel right at home on the Bermuda putting surfaces this week, putt well and have a top ten finish if not better.
