The PGA Tour stays in Florida for this week’s first World Golf Championship of the year when the WGC - Cadillac Championship gets underway at the infamous “Blue Monster.” Trump Doral is the host venue and it is one of the toughest tests the players will face all year.
The field is the strongest of the year with 48 of the top 50 in the current world rankings scheduled to play. Jordan Spieth +1222, Jason Day +1387, Rory McIlroy +895 and Rickie Fowler +1409 headline the stellar list of entrants.
Last year’s winner Dustin Johnson +1026 and last week’s winner Adam Scott +1026 are also scheduled to compete. The list goes on and on; Justin Rose +2613, Bubba Watson +1026, Phil Mickelson +4024, Sergio Garcia +3520 - everyone is playing this week and I love it!

ODDS ANALYSIS
Bubba Watson +1026 is fresh off his win in Los Angeles two weeks ago and is rested having taking off last week. He pissed away his chances last year where he was tied for the lead with six holes to play and has come close in previous trips at Doral. Watson is a great bet to contend this week and pick up his first win at the “Blue Monster.”
Something is wrong with Rory McIlroy +958. His attitude is bad, his game has flaws and his focus is out of whack, so until I see some red numbers, I am staying away from the talented but fragile McIlroy.
Another guy to stay away from is Martin Kaymer +7438. The German has lost his confidence, lost his game and on top of that, his record at Doral is horrible. Kaymer is lucky there is no cut this week, which assures him of four rounds. Fade Kaymer!
Maybe after seeing his buddy win last week, Justin Rose +2613 can get it done this week. He has the length and finesse to get it done. The Englishman will be in the mix this week, guaranteed!
