Henrik Stenson is favored to win the Wyndham Championship, which is the last event before the FedExCup Playoffs. Stenson is the only top ranked player in the field, as everyone else is taking the week off. Stenson is listed as the favorite, at odds of +1550, with Kevin Kisner the second choice at +1850. It is a very top-heavy field for this event, as the only other players listed at odds of less than +3000 are Bill Haas and Webb Simpson. We are coming off a 2-2 week with the matchup picks at the PGA Championship. Let’s look at the odds and picks for the Wyndham Championship.

PGA Championship Matchup Picks
Before we get to the picks there are a few things to consider. Sedgefield Country Club almost always sees good scoring, as the winner of this event has finished at least 14-under par every year. The tournament record is 21-under par, equaled last year by Si Woo Kim. Greens In Regulation is the key stat to check out for this week.
Bill Haas -162 vs. Ryan Moore
Haas has been really good at Sedgefield since 2012 with a scoring average of just over 67. He is 16th on the PGA Tour in adjusted scoring, 26th in greens in regulation and 24th in scrambling. I think Haas contends for the win this week and I like him over Moore in this matchup.
Bud Cauley -123 vs. James Hahn
Cauley is one of my top picks to win this week and we get him at a cheap price against Hahn. Cauley tied for 10th in this event last year and he led the field in strokes gained: putting. He is 47th on the PGA Tour in Greens In Regulation. It has been all or nothing for Cauley in this tournament with a third in 2012, missed cuts in 2013 and 2014 and the 10th place finish last year.
Kyle Stanley -155 vs. Danny Lee
Stanley finished tied for 14th on this course a year ago. He ranks first on the PGA Tour in ball striking and he is 5th in strokes gained off the tee. I think he has a good chance to do contend this week and this is his only matchup on the board, as he goes against Lee who has missed the cut in two of his last three events.
Ollie Schniederjans -141 vs. Ryan Palmer
Ollie has had a surprisingly good season, while Palmer has struggled. Ollie has done well this season in a number of statistical categories including driving distance, birdie average and sand save percentage. Palmer is outside of the Top 100 on the PGA Tour in almost all of the top categories. Ollie has the length to do well on the par 5’s at Sedgefield and Palmer is simply a player to go against right now.
