ATT Pebble Beach Pro-Am Golf Odds - Bet on PGA Tour

The PGA Tour moves up the California coast this week with Pebble Beach Golf Links playing host to its namesake event, the AT&T Pebble Beach Pro-Am. This week marks the return of 2024 Player of the Year and world No. 1 Scottie Scheffler, who opened as the betting favorite and the only golfer with shorter than 10/1 odds. World No. 3 Rory McIlroy makes his PGA season debut following a run of five top 5s, including a win, in six starts on the DP World Tour. Wyndham Clark is back to defend the title he won a year ago in a weather-shortened event looking to become the first repeat winner since Dustin Johnson in 2010. Ironically, DJ?s first win came when the tournament was cut to 54 holes. A move to Signature Event status last year reduced the field and the number of courses used. Patrick Cantlay +2000

The dude has been on a roll since his T3 at the US Open last June racking up nine straight top 25s with three finishes among the top 5. Most recently he was T5 at the American Express and Cantlay also carries a run of good form at Pebble Beach into this week. He?s finished inside the top 11 in each of his last four starts with back-to-back top 5s in 2021 and 2022 and he also has an additional top 10 on his resume.

Jason Day +3495

He?s done just about everything but win at Pebble Beach so maybe it?s time Day has his breakthrough moment. He no longer has to worry about missing the cut, but when he did he was perfect going 13 for 13 prior to last year. That run included eight top 10 finishes with five of them among the top 5. He was co-runner-up in 2018 and finished T6 last year that included a final round 63 at Pebble Beach.

Tom Hoge +7513

With 11 rounds under 70 already this season, Hoge is well positioned for a run on courses that typically score low. And he?s done a nice job in recent years at this event getting his only Tour victory here in 2022 when he opened with a 63. The year before he placed among the top 15 and last year he overcame an opening 71 to record a pair of 66s to earn a share of sixth. Hoge began the season with a T8 at The Sentry.

Collin Morikawa +1403

At some point the consistency is going to yield a victory. Morikawa was winless last year though he did secure seven top 5 finishes among his 14 top 20s. And he opened 2025 shooting 32-under at The Sentry but came in second to Hideki Matsuyama?s record 35-under score for his third runner-up in his last 10 Tour starts. Morikawa was T14 at this event last year in his tournament debut.

Nick Taylor +8508

After struggling most of last season, Taylor couldn?t have asked for a better start to 2025. He won for the fifth time in his career surviving a playoff at the Sony Open and followed that with a T12 at The American Express overcoming a third round 73. And he?s enjoyed success at this tournament with a win in 2020 among his four top 20s. It?s dangerous to go further down the odds board with a loaded field, but Clark had roughly the same odds last year.

Course: Pebble Beach Golf Links (host) ? 6,972 yards, Par 72

A smaller field means no cut line and one course used in past events is no longer needed. The field will navigate Pebble Beach and Spyglass Hill over the first two days with the iconic Pebble Beach layout hosting the final two rounds. At just under 7,000 yards Pebble Beach is one of the shortest courses on Tour with wide open fairways that don?t pose a threat. Accuracy off the tee isn?t a problem, but approach shots have to find small greens that are surrounded by strategically placed bunkers. Spyglass Hill is the toughest of the two with additional length stretching it to 7,041 yards. However, playing along the coast can always be treacherous and early forecasts call for cloudy skies with a slight chance of rain over the weekend.

Need to Know

We didn?t see the full effect of the format changes last year with the tournament shortened to 54 holes due to inclement weather. There is a good chance we get the full treatment with early forecasts calling for cool temperatures and no rain. No cut means the field will play three rounds at Pebble Beach and one of the first two rounds at Spyglass Hill. Neither course is long and favorable conditions can produce low scores. Last year Clark set a PB scoring record with a third round 60, which turned out to be the final round, winning by a shot at 17-under. Distance off the tee is not a factor bringing the field closer together. Pebble Beach is a tidy 6,972-yard, par-72 layout that?s among the shortest on Tour, but that doesn?t mean it?s easy. Approach shots have to find small greens that are surrounded by strategically placed bunkers through coastal winds.

AT&T Pebble Beach Pro-Am Matchup Picks

Jordan Spieth +105 vs. Rickie Fowler

I?m going with this matchup between two of the game?s bigger names who have struggled in recent years. Spieth is coming off surgery that shelved him for months and is making his first start since last August. The end of last year was forgettable and Spieth is hoping the procedure along with a return to an event that?s yielded him positive results can get him going. A win here in 2017 is one of Spieth?s six top 10s.

Maverick McNealy -120 vs. Sepp Straka

Getting back to his old stomping ground could be exactly what McNealy needs after stumbling at Torrey Pines. He closed 2024 with a win at the RSM Classic and started this season with a T8 at The Sentry giving him five straight top 20s in completed events. However, a closing 77 at the FIO was among his worst efforts. The Stanford product has two top 5 finishes at Pebble Beach, a course he knows well.

Jason Day-115 vs. Keegan Bradley

Based on his past results in this tournament it?d be a crime if I didn?t back Day in this matchup. Seven times in his last nine starts he placed among the top 10 and he was no worse than T24 in the other two. He?s also been on a nice run of form recently finishing among the top 25 in six of his last nine starts around the globe. Converging trends make Day a nice pick.

Collin Morikawa -115 vs. Justin Thomas

A T14 in his tournament debut last year was part of a spectacular season for Morikawa. He didn?t get the notoriety because he failed to win a title, but few if any golfers played as well as he did. He finished among the top 10 eight times and was inside the top 20 on five other occasions. He started this year with a runner-up at The Sentry carding a 32-under 260.

Nick Taylor +105 vs. Davis Thompson

Another player with success in this tournament who accomplished something both Day and Morikawa have yet to do is Taylor. The Canadian was a four-shot winner back in 2020 that started a run of three top 20s in four starts. He has an additional top 10 here from a few years earlier. And Taylor is off to a good start in 2025 winning the Sony Open in a playoff followed by a T12 last time out at The American Express.

TGL Match 2 Odds - Los Angeles GC vs. Jupiter Links GC Lines

Los Angeles Golf Club is favored against Jupiter Links Golf Club on Tuesday, January 14 on ESPN. The new TGL Golf League, started by Tiger Woods and Rory McIlroy debuted to excellent television ratings and rave views last week with The Bay Golf Club defeating New York Golf Club by a score of 9-2. The Week 2 TGL match will have Tiger in action, as his Jupiter Links Golf Club team will take on the Los Angeles Golf Club team. Woods has not played much golf in recent years, as he played just five PGA Tour event last year. He won?t have to walk much in this event, and he won?t have to travel far, as SoFi Center in Palm Beach Gardens, Florida is not far from his home on Jupiter Island. Tiger?s Jupiter Links Golf Club team is one of six in the new TGL Golf League.

Each of the teams has four players on their roster with only three players competing in the weekly match. Players will compete in a 15-hole match with nine holes of Triples and six holes of Singles. The TGL course has real tee boxes, real fairway surfaces, real sand and putting surfaces that are different for each hole. Players hit their shots into a giant golf simulator screen and the play is exciting.

Jupiter Links Golf Club

The four players on this team are Max Homa, Tom Kim, Kevin Kisner and Tiger Woods. In this match, Tom Kim will not be playing so that is a big loss for the team, as Kim is their highest ranked player, as he is No. 23 in the latest World Golf Rankings. Homa is No. 40 in the World Golf Rankings, while Kisner is barely on the radar at No. 828 and Tiger hasn?t even played enough events recently to be ranked.

Sahith Theegala vs. Max Homa

The matchup between Theegala and Homa should be a good one. They will play the 12th and 15th holes. The 12th is a long par 3, while the 15th is a long par 5.

TGL Week 2 Picks

I know that on paper the Los Angeles Golf Club has the edge, but I think the odds on this match are simply way too high. And yes, I know the odds have moved toward the Los Angeles team, but I don?t know that they will have a huge edge. Woods and Kisner are fierce competitors and I expect them to play well and if Homa holds his own, I think the Jupiter Links Golf Club team can win this match. It could also be that Theegala is a bit tired, as he will be coming off a tournament in Hawaii. I?ll take the Jupiter team at a nice plus price.

2024 LIV Golf Team Championship Dallas Odds - Bet on LIV Golf

The unique team format was used in all 13 tournaments in conjunction with the race for the individual title, which was secured by Jon Rahm thanks to victories in two of the last three events. And if you weren?t paying attention the entire gist of the competition could?ve sailed right over your head. Not overshadowed by players vying for an individual trophy and $4 million in prize money, the LIV Golf Team Championship Dallas takes center stage this weekend to close out the third season.

There are some tweaks to the format with the number of golfers increased in 2024. Six new players added to the season-long individual race also required an expansion team. Captained by Rahm, the new Legion XIII was positioned atop the odds board as the favorite to dethrone Crushers. Also, captains are no longer required to compete against each other in the quarterfinal and semifinal match-play rounds.

LIV Golf Team Championship Dallas Betting Odds

Before we preview teams let?s recap how the event works. There is no individual component with only team members taking on the Maridoe Golf Club in the Dallas suburb of Carrollton. The event has 13 teams of four players battling for a $50 million purse. Team results were used to determine final standings with the top three ? Crushers, Legion XIII and Ripper ? getting a bye into the semis. That means Nos. 4-13 battle on Friday in the quarterfinals. Higher seeded teams pick their opponent and the squads compete in head-to-head match play to determine a winner. Two singles matches and a foursomes match take place within each match. There are no ties so each match will play until someone wins. The teams earning two points move on to the semis.

The same format is used on Saturday with the top three seeds selecting their opponent. The four teams earning two points will advance to Sunday?s final round where all 16 players will compete in 18 holes of stroke play with all four scores counting toward the team score. The lowest scoring team after 18 holes will be crowned LIV Golf Dallas team champion. There really are no losers, though, with the last place team earning $1 million. Boasting individual champion Rahm makes Legion XIII a threat and it?s the main reason why the team is positioned as the favorite. Rahm won two of the last three individual titles and finished among the top 10 in every completed event. Tyrrell Hatton is a nice complementary piece, but they will need more from Caleb Surratt, who finished last in Chicago.

Earning the top seed during the season and entering as the defending team champion, Crushers could easily be the favorite. Bryson DeChambeau didn?t win a LIV tournament this season but he was spectacular in majors winning the US Open, finishing runner-up at the PGA Championship and earning a top 10 at the Masters. He tied with teammate Anirban Lahiri for sixth in Chicago helping Crushers to their third team win of the season.

Ripper +500

Not surprising the top three favorites all have a bye into the semifinal round. It should certainly help Ripper, which stumbled to a 12th place finish in Chicago. The additional rest should help the group of Australians who posted back to back wins in Adelaide and Singapore and were runners-up in the UK and Greenbrier before their worst finish of the season. Captain Cameron Smith finished seventh in the individual standings with four straight top 10s before stumbling in Chicago.

Smash +750

Captain Brooks Koepka will be huge for the chances of Smash to win the championship. Koepka won for the second time this season and fifth time overall at Greenbrier leading his team to its second title of the year and the No. 4 seed. Smash will have the first pick of their match-play opponent for Friday?s semifinal.

Torque +800

They finished fifth in the team standings despite having only one podium finish over the last nine events and none in the last four. Captain Joaquin Niemann had a phenomenal season finishing second to Rahm at Chicago and in the overall individual race. He won his first LIV title in the season-opener at Mayakoba and was victorious two events later in Jeddah. He finished among the top 5 in seven of his 13 LIV starts and will need to carry the team.

Fireballs +900

Getting hot at the right time could propel Fireballs. They rode the strong play of captain Sergio Garcia finishing no worse than fifth in the last four events with a title at Andalucia when Garcia won for the first time. Abraham Ancer also won an individual title in Hong Kong and like his team was solid yet unspectacular finishing among the top 20 eight times in 13 starts and never outside the top 28.

2024 LIV Golf Chicago Matchups - Bet on LIV Golf

Following a month long break, it?s back to work with the field assembling for the first time at Bolingbrook Golf Club for the third installment of LIV Golf Chicago. And there?s plenty on the line in the final individual event of the 2024 season. Winning for the first time two months ago in the UK, Jon Rahm soared to the top of the season-long individual points race with a slim lead over Joaquin Niemann. As long as he finishes tied with or better than Niemann Rahm will finish first collecting the hefty sum that comes with it. They are the only players that can win the individual title, though a number of golfers are in the running for the payday that comes with a third-place finish. The outright odds board looks familiar with Rahm positioned at the top. Also among the top 5 favorites is Brooks Koepka, who won his LIV best fifth tournament last time out in Greenbrier. Need to Know

LIV Golf has visited the Chicago area every year of its existence, though there is a different host for this year?s edition. Cameron Smith and Bryson DeChambeau were the first two winners of this event that took place at Rich Harvest Farms. Bolingbrook Golf Club, a top-ranked public course in the Chicago suburb, assumes the duties with some modifications to its layout. At less than 7,100 yards it?s considered short for the pros. To make it slightly more challenging two of the par 5 holes will be played as par 4s reducing par to 70. With the 14th hole playing at around 600 yards there are several shorter drivable holes that can help scoring. It?s not a particularly difficult layout but elevated tees, undulating fairways and seven lakes littered around the property can pose a threat. Opened in 2002 Bolingbrook hasn?t hosted many notable events so this is likely the first jaunt around the joint for most of the field.

LIV Golf Chicago Matchup Picks

David Puig +100 vs. Lucas Herbert

He hasn?t been spectacular but he hasn?t been awful either. And Puig is still a pup compared to a majority of LIV players. I backed him earlier in the year after several top 5s on the Asian Tour and he started to be more consistent after he earned a share of third in Houston. I have an issue backing him for the outright but winning a matchup is something else. He finished among the top 15 in each of his last two starts with a decent showing at the Olympics in between. At even money I have no problem backing him.

Louis Oosthuizen -115 vs. Sergio Garcia

I?ve been high on Oosthuizen for some time and he?s paid off recently in the matchup section. His strong run this year actually began at the end of 2023 when he won back-to-back titles on the DP World Tour in December. He placed among the top 8 in his last three LIV starts and he has eight top 10s worldwide in 14 starts just this year. His consistency is about to pay off, which is why I also backed him for the outright.

Cameron Smith -105 vs. Brooks Koepka

He had some bouts of ineffectiveness this season but Smith has always been one of the top players in the world. A few tweaks to his game helped him straighten things out recently resulting in four straight LIV top 10s. The run started with a T9 Nashville that halted a stretch of three straight finishes outside the top 30, two of them in majors. And that came after his first runner-up of the season that took place in Singapore. With some consistency back in his game I expect Smith to triumph in this matchup.

Tyrrell Hatton +100 vs. Joaquin Niemann

There is a chunk of change to whoever places third in the individual race and heading into the tournament that person is Hatton. His opponent can finish no lower than second so Niemann is already locked in. Hatton can finish in the money or lose out completely so he?ll be extra motivated for a good showing. He finished among the top 20 in seven of his last eight LIV starts getting a win in Nashville and a share of second in the UK. To stay sharp ahead of this tournament, Hatton earned a T18 on the DP World Tour.

Abraham Ancer -110 vs. Carlos Ortiz

It?s been a good year for Ancer picking up his first LIV victory in Hong Kong in March that started a run of four straight top 10s. He cooled off a bit since that heater but he still managed to collect three top 20s in his last five LIV starts. strong with his irons that?s a trait that will come in handy on a course that favors a strong approach.

LIV Golf Invitational Series Odds - European Tour Betting

For years, in fact for all the years, the PGA Tour has been the only game in town for golf pros. Sure there?s the DP World Tour in Europe, the developmental Korn Ferry Tour and of course the Champions Tour for aging veterans. But for those who have game in the prime of their careers, the PGA stop is the only way to go.

That?s all about to change, though, thanks to the deep pockets of a Saudi Arabian-based investment firm ponying up a boatload of money for a breakaway golf league. The new league recently said it plans to stage eight tournaments in 2022. The LIV Golf Invitational Series will start in London in June and feature four events played in the United States with seven regular season tournaments and a team match-play finale championship in late October.

If money can attract the biggest names in golf the league will have some of the top players. The Series will reportedly offer a combined $255 million in prize money with each of the seven regular season events having a $25 million purse. By contrast the richest tournament on the PGA Tour is THE PLAYERS Championship that offers a $20 million prize pool.

Given Saudi Arabia?s record on human rights many players have already distanced themselves from the upstart venture. Top-ranked players like Jon Rahm, Rory McIlroy, Justin Thomas and Collin Morikawa have already done so while a few others like Bryson DeChambeau came around later.

Still, there were players who have shown an interest in the new concept, most notably Phil Mickelson. Lefty was harshly criticized for comments he made saying he was willing to overlook the country?s crimes in order to change how the PGA Tour operates. Lee Westwood is another player apparently on board with the new venture.

Former professional golfer Greg Norman is the face of the new league. A golf Hall of Famer, 20-time winner on the PGA Tour and former world No. 1 player, he gives it some credibility. And he?s involved for the right reasons. ?I want golf to grow, players to have additional opportunities, and fans to have more fun. My mission is to help the game reach its full potential and we know the role of golf as an entertainment product is critical to overall participation in the sport,? he said in a release.

As of this writing there are no players in the Series. But there is a format for each tournament that differs from the PGA Tour. According to the Series, the first year would cap each event at 48 players with 12 four-man teams determined by a draft the week of the event. ?We?ve done our best to create a schedule that allows players to play elsewhere while still participating in our events. I believe players will increasingly make progress in achieving their right to play where they want,? Norman continued.

There are details that need to be ironed out, most notably getting players on board. And we?ve seen a number of top golfers play tournaments in the Middle East with the hope of getting a chunk of the large prize money. Of course, playing one tournament in Saudi Arabia is much different than playing an entire eight-match season and players certainly don?t want to get hammered the way Mickelson did.

But in the long run money talks. And I?m sure we?ll see some PGA Tour defectors despite the potential fallout. While the PGA Tour doesn?t seem overly concerned at this point, it has said a tour card will be revoked for good for any player that participates in the new league. That doesn?t sound like the PGA Tour is all in on growing the sport.

The European Tour puts a lid on the 2021 season with a talented field off to Dubai for the DP World Tour Championship. Anyone in the field can claim the tournament title but just a handful of players can with the Race to Dubai as the Tour?s top player this season. Collin Morikawa currently leads the R2D and can become the first American to win the season-long rankings. He has the lead playing in just nine counting tournaments. The field lost top European draws Jon Rahm and Viktor Hovland leaving a field of 53 players set to attack the Earth Course at Jumeirah Golf Estates. Rory McIlroy has had all kinds of success in this tournament with a pair of titles on his resume and not surprisingly he opened as the outright favorite. The top 50 in the season-long R2D standings qualified to participate, though not all of them are here. Along with a select number of invites the field has just 53 golfers. With no cut line the entire field will battle for four days at the magnificent Earth Course at Jumeirah Golf Estates. The only host this event has ever known plays at 7,675 yards and par 72, and is one of the Middle East?s top courses. The length may seem scary but it really isn?t with wide fairways and large greens keeping balls in play. That?s reflected in past scores with all but one winner carding 15-under or better. Big hitters rock this course but there is something for everyone. The layout offers a variety of holes and requires every stick in the bag.

DP World Tour Championship Matchup Picks

Matt Fitzpatrick -105 vs. Abraham Ancer

The defending champ became a two-time winner with his 1-shot victory last year, and with a chance of winning the R2D crown you can bet Fitzpatrick will let it all hang out. A lot has to go right in order for him to overtake the likes of Collin Morikawa and Billy Horschel, and it starts with him winning the outright. He got into contention with his win in the Andalucia Masters last month. And you can?t ignore his results here; 6 for 6 with two wins and an additional three top-12s. I was surprised to see him at this price and will happily throw down on him in this matchup.

Collin Morikawa +113 vs. Rory McIlroy

I couldn?t pass on a matchup of the top two favorites; I just couldn?t decide who to back. In the end I went with Morikawa because of the plus-odds price. McIlroy has chewed up this course over his career, so I might regret my decision. But I can?t go wrong backing Morikawa, who followed up the Ryder Cup victory with a runner-up in the CJ CUP and a T7 in the ZOZO. In his debut here last year he was T10, so it looks like things are aligned for him to win the R2D race.

Callum Hill -115 vs. Justin Harding

It?s already been a season to remember for Hill, who posted his first ET win a few months ago in the Cazoo Classic. He also flashed his skill in the desert landscape with a T4 earlier this year in Saudi Arabia giving him four top-5s among his seven top-10s this season. Stats wise he?s a nice fit for this layout and we?ve had enough of a sample size to take that into account.

Garrick Higgo -110 vs. Rasmus Hojgaard

Higgo is another player who fits the mold of success on this layout. Wide fairways and big greens will certainly help his mammoth drives and a little touch on the dance floor will have him contending for the outright. Higgo showed he can play at this level with a pair of ET wins and a PGA Tour title in close succession. He got acquainted with the course last year posting a T14 and should be in better shape this time around, which is why I?m backing him.

Tommy Fleetwood -115 vs. Sergio Garcia

Given his history in the Middle East and his success at this course, it?s hard not to back Fleetwood. It hasn?t been a bad season for him; it just hasn?t been what we?re used to seeing. He hasn?t won in two years, but he?s closing the season with a flurry heading to one of his favorite spots on a run of solid form. His T13 at the Dubai Championship last week was his worst finish in his last four ET starts. He won the Abu Dhabi HSBC Championship in back-to-back years and he has three top-10s in his last five DP starts. I think Fleetwood is worth the risk.
