If you're looking for a lot of value at the Breeders' Cup on Saturday, you've certainly come to the right place with the Breeders' Cup Filly & Mare Sprint. There are a ton of experienced ladies in this field who have all been at the top of their game at one point or another in the last couple years. That should make for an explosive and potentially historical event at Del Mar.
The $1,000,000 Breeders' Cup Filly & Mare Sprint is the third event on Saturday, November 4 at the Breeders' Cup and shouldn't be missed by bettors. Post-time from Del Mar Racetrack is scheduled for 4:14 p.m. ET, and all of the action can be seen live on NBC Sports Network.

Top Contenders
The horse that the rest of this field will be measured against is Unique Bella. This three-year old is a little whip on the track, posting Beyer Speed Ratings of 102, 104 and 106 in her last three races respectively. It's a little concerning that she's in declining form, and she's never run up against Grade 1 fillies or mares in her career, but the pure speed and dominance on the track that she's shown hasn't been matched for an extended period of time for any other in the Breeders' Cup Filly & Mare Sprint.
Skye Diamonds has a lot of power behind her at a price of 5 to 1, namely due to the fact that she hasn't finished worse than second in a race since last April at Santa Anita. Still, in that span, she's run in mostly just allowance races and a few lowered level Grade 2 and Grade 3 races. This is a huge step up in class.
Finley'sluckycharm has been either won or placed in nine consecutive races dating back to the early stages of the 2016 season. She's been blazing workouts of late, albeit at Churchill Downs instead of here at Del Mar. She also has three straight races with at least 100 Beyer Speed Ratings and has the fastest speed recorded in this field from last November when she turned a 108.
Carina Mia, By the Moon, Paulassilverlining and Finest City were all in this race a year ago. Finest City ran a blistering career-best 102 Beyer en route to victory. She was 9 to 1 last year for this race and is now an even longer longshot in her five-year old year at 12 to 1.
Breeders' Cup Filly & Mare Sprint Pick
For all of the talk about Unique Bella, this really isn't her game. She seems to be more of a distance horse and could have been run in the Distaff if she was stretched out a little more from her long layoff. These sprinters that she's up against have another year under their belts, and they're more likely to be ready for this moment specifically.
With the "fish out of water" mentally a possibility, we're going to revert back to what we knew from a year ago. Carina Mia was a three-year old favorite of the Breeders' Cup Filly & Mare Sprint and failed to become the first three-year old to capture this title. Now, she's a four-year old and has a lot more experience under her belt. That experience could serve her well.
With an inside post, albeit in just a one-turn race, we feel there's a slew of value here in Carina Mia.
Breeders' Cup Filly & Mare Sprint Pick: #1 Carina Mia
