A great day of racing at Saratoga kicks off with the ladies on the track running 1 1/8 miles at the Personal Ensign Stakes, a "Win-and-You're In" race for the Breeders' Cup Distaff to determine the three-year old filly champion.

What an awesome field we have here at the Personal Ensign Stakes. There are four mares that could all make a claim to being the best in the world at the moment, and it wouldn't be a shock if any of the four, who range from 2 to 1 to 4 to 1, ultimately hit the line first.
America and Tiz Windy are rounding out this field, but just the fact that they are 12 to 1 and 15 to 1 respective in a six-horse race is proof that they are just fillers in a run with a big payday at the end of it for sneaking into fourth place or better.
FAVORITE TO FOLLOW
Untapable is only the second favorite, but we still think she is the best filly or mare on the planet right now and shows great value here at the Personal Ensign Stakes. She won the Breeders' Cup Distaff last year, beating a very good field, but the only time she ever ran into Stopchargingmaria, she was beaten in what happened to be her last start on this very track.
The only concern here with Untapable is that she has never won on this track, though the fact that she is worth over $3.6 million and has won nine of her rather small 15 career races shows that she is still a beast.
UNDERDOG TO WATCH
Sheer Drama might be third in line in at the Personal Ensign Stakes, but that doesn't mean she can't be the best in this field. She has run five straight races with 100+ Beyer Speed Ratings, something which is unheard of in the filly and mare division. She's a closer by nature and a strong one at that, and it should be noted that there have been times where that has gotten her into trouble and she has gotten boxed in at the death.
Still, in terms of raw speed and how quickly these fillies will get around the track at Saratoga, it's tough to argue with Sheer Drama.
ANALYSIS AND PREDICTION
Untapable was put out to the lead by John Velazquez the last time she ran here at Saratoga, and she ended up running out of gas at 1 1/8 miles. This time around, we suspect she'll get a better go of it and give Stopchargingmaria a better run for her money.
Sheer Drama is a fine mare, but her running style just doesn't seem to work in this race. Got Luck might be hot, but she has never won a Grade 1 race in her career, and in fact, three of her four career races in which she didn't hit the board were also Grade 1s.
With the rest of the fillies and mares not really being factors, we're left with this awesome price on Untapable, a mare we still believe is good enough to be an odds-on favorite against just about any six-horse field in America.
