With 11 current UFC champions right now, it can be tough to keep track of the upcoming title fights. So we’ve took it upon ourselves to make things a bit easier for you, with a quick glimpse at all the upcoming championship fights and their odds.
Remember, these lines will shift as more action starts to come in, so if you see odds you like it’s a good idea to jump on it now.
NOVEMBER 4, UFC 193
Women’s bantamweight championship:
Ronda Rousey -1500 vs. Holly Holm +900
The UFC’s biggest star is back in action as she takes on the undefeated former pro boxer Holly Holm. Rousey is a staggering 15-to-1 favorite, which means oddsmakers are giving the challenger almost no chance to pull off what would be the biggest upset in UFC history. The real question is not whether Rowdy will win, but how dominant she’ll be in doing so.
With Rousey’s last three fights coming in under 40 seconds, I’m excited to see what the round total will be. I’ve never seen one lower than 1.5, but if anyone deserves an 0.5 over/under, it’s Rousey.
NOVEMBER 4, UFC 193
Women’s strawweight championship:
Joanna Jedrzejcyzk -1900 vs. Valerie Letourneau +1200
As good as Rousey is, women’s strawweight champion Joanna Jedrzejzcyzk is an even bigger favorite against Valerie Letourneau in the co-feature at UFC 193. I’m a huge fan of J-Check, who I firmly believe is one of the best strikers in the promotion. Letourneau is a fill-in for injured Brazilian No.1 contender Claudia Gadelha, and she’s not as good as the champion’s last two opponents. Considering how Jedrzejcyzk humiliated Carla Esparza and Jessica Penne, there doesn’t seem to be much hope for Letourneau.
DECEMBER 12, UFC 194
Men’s featherweight championship:
Conor McGregor -175 vs. Jose Aldo +145
Do not miss this fight. I repeat, DO NOT MISS THIS FIGHT. Not only because McGregor is the best trash talker the UFC has ever seen, but because he backs it up in every way. Jose Aldo is the only champion the featherweight division has ever known and is currently on an 18-fight unbeaten streak, yet he’s the underdog. Say what you want about McGregor, but every single one of his octagon appearances has been a thrill-ride. Now, he gets to face one of the pound-for-pound best in the world.
DECEMBER 12, UFC 194
Men’s middleweight championship:
Chris Weidman -165 vs. Luke Rockhold +135
Rockhold is on an absolute tear, finishing his last four opponents within two rounds in every way imaginable. But champion Chris Weidman has never lost in 13 pro fights, and he has yet to be even seriously be challenged thus far in the octagon, save for one round against Lyoto Machida. The fact that the moneylines are so close only provide a glimpse into how good these guys are - they’re the two best fighters at 185 in the world right now. I’m pretty sure this won’t be the last time they square off.
DECEMBER 19, UFC ON FOX 17
Men’s lightweight championship:
Rafael dos Anjos -320 vs. Donald Cerrone +225
“Cowboy” Cerrone rides an eight-fight win streak into a title shot against the last man to beat him, champion Rafael dos Anjos. Considering that both men are elite strikers and they’re fighting on a free FOX card, it’s hard not to get excited for this bout.
JANUARY 2, 2016, UFC 195
Men’s welterweight championship:
Robbie Lawler -140 vs. Carlos Condit +110
If I had to pick one fight to watch from this list, Lawler vs. Condit would be in serious consideration for the nod. Both men are ultraviolent strikers that have a penchant of brutal, bloody fights. The champ, Robbie Lawler, is coming off the likely 2015 Fight of the Year. What’s he got next for us?
JANUARY 17, 2016
Men’s bantamweight championship:
T.J. Dillashaw -155 vs. Dominick Cruz +135
Former champion Dominick Cruz never lost the belt, it was stripped from him because he could not get healthy. But when he came back after a three-year hiatus, he looked as dominant as ever. Now he has a chance to regain the title, and he’ll be facing a resurgent T.J. Dillashaw, who many say has emulated Cruz’ frenetic style - and made it better.
