As 2015 winds down, the UFC has absolutely loaded the year-end calendar with huge fights that already have many MMA fans buzzing.
And because these matchups come with so much hype, you know that we’ve got you covered with early odds that you can bet on now. Check out some of the biggest bouts we’ve got lines for now, and try not to drool.
1. UFC 194, December 12: Conor McGregor -175 vs. Jose Aldo +145
Any list would have to start with this matchup, which will challenge the record for most pay-per-view buys. The best part is that unlike other grudge previous grudge matches, there’s almost zero chance that this one will be boring. Both men are highly skilled, explosive and in their athletic primes. The injury delay, the trash talking and the fact that both men hold belts add up to the biggest fight of the year.
2. UFC 194, December 12: Chris Weidman -165 vs. Luke Rockhold +135
Another fight on the same card? Absolutely. Chris Weidman is the undefeated middleiweight champion while Rockhold is unquestionably the No. 1 contender. Both guys are huge for the division, and bring power and technique in individually distinctive fight styles. This matchup could easily steal the show from the headlining McGregor vs. Aldo fights.
3. UFC 192, October 3: Alexander Gustaffson +280 vs. Daniel Cormier -360
While the shadow of Jon Jones looms over this matchup, this is still a fascinating fight between two of the top-4 light heavyweights in the world. Gustaffson is coming off the most humiliating loss of his career, while Cormier was able to win the vacant heavyweight championship. If Cormier can dominate the Swede, there doesn’t seem to be anyone else who can challenge him, except for you know who.
4. UFC Fight Night 77, November 7: Dan Henderson +245 vs. Vitor Belfort -315
Ok, so this one may not have much impact on the middleweight title picture, but casual fan interest should be high. Henderson is a living legend and a fan favorite, and Belfort is right there with him in Brazil. What makes this fight so exciting is that Hendo has a penchant for turning fights into sloppy, crowd-pleasing brawls, while Belfort has been collecting highlight-reel knockouts for years.
5. UFC on FOX 17, December 19: Donald Cerrone +25 vs. Rafael dos Anjos -320
“Cowboy” has always epitomized the “anytime, anywhere” fighter and has stepped up for the UFC multiple times on short notice. He’s always delivered exciting fights with his elite-level kickboxing and lightning quick submissions. Now he’s on an eight-fight win streak and finds himself in a title bout against Rafael dos Anjos, who put on the performance of his career in snatching the belt from Anthony Pettis. Oh yeah, dos Anjos just happens to be the last man to beat Cerrone, back in 2013.
Honorable mentions: Claudia Gadelha vs. Joanna Jedrzejczyk, Khabib Nurmagomedov vs. Tony Ferguson, Kelvin Gastelum vs. Matt Brown, Antonio Silva vs. Mark Hunt, Ronaldo Souza vs. Yoel Romero, Rashad Evas vs. Ryan Bader, Johny Hendricks vs. Tyron Woodley
