UFC 194 is the 2015 UFC Super Bowl, and you can bet on it early

UFC-194-odds-update---Jose-Aldo.ac

We just can’t stop writing about UFC 194 - it’s by far the biggest event of the year and could be the highest selling pay-per-view in the promotion’s history. That’s because it’s loaded with great fights from top-to-bottom. Hell, some of the assumed prelim fights could easily be headliners on smaller UFC Fight Night cards.

Even with the card still two months away, you can place a few bets now. Let’s break down a few of the available plays.

MAIN EVENT: Featherweight Championship

JOSE ALDO +145 VS. CONOR MCGREGOR -175

Pray to the MMA gods that Aldo makes it to the fight in one piece, because there’s no way this fight can get any bigger. Aldo is the only featherweight champion the UFC has ever seen and a consensus top 3 pound-for-pound fighter. Yet the brash Irish superstar is the favorite going into the bout, and he’s looked like a killer as of late. With McGregor’s all-out style of offense, this appears to be one of those rare fights that will live up to the hype.

CO-MAIN EVENT: Middleweight Championship

CHRIS WEIDMAN -165 vs. LUKE ROCKHOLD +140

The top two 185-pounders in the world square off in a fight that could easily headline its own pay-per-view. Middleweight champion Chris Weidman has yet to lose in 13 pro fights and has yet to be truly tested inside the octagon. Luke Rockhold is on a four-fight win streak that saw him demolish all his opponents before the end of the second round. What’s more, these are two gigantic middleweights, both standing at least 6’2” and muscled enough to look fit for 205. The bigger they are, the bigger the fight.

RONALDO SOUZA -167 vs. YOEL ROMERO +140

Right before Weidman vs. Rockhold, we get a title eliminator to see who will face the winner. You could easily make the argument that either Souza or Romero should have been facing Weidman, but for now we get a compelling matchup between Souza, one of the top BJJ artists in the world, and Romero an Olympic silver medalist in freestyle wrestling. Oh yeah, both of these guys have awesome knockout power and love to bang.

MICHELLE WATERSON +133 vs. TECIA TORRES -147

Former Invicta atomweight champions will make her first UFC appearance on the year’s biggest card, something that I’m sure probably has to do with “The Karate Hottie’s” good looks. But beyond that, she’s an exciting scrappy fighter that has flashy strikes. Her first test is a tough one, against the bigger, stronger and well-regarded Tecia Torres.

MAX HOLLOWAY - 375 vs. JEREMY STEPHENS +285

One of the featherweight division’s hottest prospect, Max Holloway, is quickly becoming a player in the title picture. At 23 years old, he’s already a top-10 fighter and is currently riding a seven-fight winning streak. But those stats don’t give the proper credit to the fighter that Holloway has become. He’s jitterbug quick, with pinpoint striking and a dangerous submission game.

DEMIAN MAIA -145 vs. GUNNAR NELSON +115

Two of the world’s most dangerous submission artists clash in a pivotal fight at 170. Maia has long been a top welterweight, and Nelson wants in on that claim. With 10 submission wins in his 14 career victories, the Icelander’s BJJ is legit - but how will he fare against a guy that’s won every single notable jiu-jitsu award under the sun?
