IT’S BRAWL GOOD, BRO
Diego Sanchez +120
Jim Miller -140
Over/under 2.5 rounds, over -240, under +200
It doesn’t matter that both Diego Sanchez and Jim Miller are both just 1-3 in their past four fights. These guys don’t know how to be boring. Sanchez is well known for throwing all caution to the wind and rousing late charges. Miller is one of the grittiest lightweights around. There are no title implications in sight, but they should be able to fire up the crowd before the main card.
BANTAMWEIGHT GLORY
Amanda Nunes -150
Valentina Shevchenko +130
Over/under 2.5 rounds, over -105, under -115
The No. 4 ranked Nunes instantly emerged as a possible contender after she lit up former title challenger Sara McMann inside of one round in her last fight. If she can come anywhere close to that performance against Shevchenko, she’ll pretty much lock up a title shot - or at the very least a title eliminator. With a 91% KO/TKO rate and blinding hand speed, Nunes is arguably the most dangerous striker in the division.
SEEKING A TRIUMPHANT RETURN
Justin Salas -185
Jason Saggo +160
Over/under 2.5 rounds, over -125, under +105
In a lightweight bout featuring two fighters who haven’t fought since 2014, Canadian Jason Saggo will look to bounce back from a loss against American Justin Salas. Saggo has stoppages in all 10 of his career victories, with eight coming by way of submission. Salas has alternated wins and losses since his UFC debut in 2012, most recently suffering a TKO loss to Joe Proctor and UFC Fight Night 45. He has to know that his job is on the line here.
WELCOME TO AMERICA
Julian Erosa -220
Teruto Ishihara +185
Over/under 2.5 rounds, over -170, under +150
Julian Erosa was a semifinalist on The Ultimate Fighter 22, losing in the semifinals to Artem Lobov. Still, he made his UFC debut in the finale and won a split decision, stretching his winning streak to five. Ishihara, who was involved in the “Road to UFC: Japan” series, fought to a rare split draw in the finale. The 24-year old will now fight for the first time outside of his native country, and brings serious knockout power into the bout.
