UFC 210 Odds - Charles Rosa vs. Shane Burgos Preview and Prediction

2017-UFC-MMA-Undercard-Fight-1-Betting-Odds

Shane Burgos will look to stay unbeaten, as he takes on Charles Rosa at UFC 210 on Saturday, April 8 in Buffalo, New York. Burgos is probably best known for having his hair cut in between rounds of his last fight against Tiago Trator but he has been impressive with eight wins, including five finishes in his career. He will be taking on Rosa who is 11-2 in his career, and coming off a win against Kyle Bochnia in January. The fight between Rosa and Burgos will be part of the preliminary card that can be seen on FS1.

Charles Rosa (11-2, 2-2 UFC)

Rosa has lost just twice in his career, as he was beaten by Dennis Siver and Yair Rodriguez. The loss to Siver was in 2014 and it was Fight of the Night, while the defeat against Rodriguez was by split decision. Rosa said he thought he won the fight against Rodriguez but the fight took place in Mexico and Rosa was going against a Mexican fighter, so perhaps the judging was a bit biased.

Rosa said that that he doesn’t really feel that his two losses were really losses, as he fought Siver on short notice and then lost to Rodriguez in Mexico. The fight against Siver had Rosa cutting a lot of weight in just five days.

Rosa has signed a new 4-fight contract with the UFC, so he is going to get a lot of action in the next year or so. Rosa said he had other options, some of which would have paid him more money, but he wanted to fight in the UFC against the best in the world.

Rosa said that he respects Burgos and that he is a “talented up and coming fighter.” He has watched his fights and expects a lot of aggression. Rosa said that he expects an “awesome action packed fight.” He also said that he expects to finish Burgos in this fight.

Shane Burgos (8-0, 1-0 UFC)

Burgos won his UFC debut, as he took out Tiago Trator by unanimous decision at UFC Fight Night 102. Unfortunately for Burgos, he is now better known for the haircut than his fighting ability, as he had his hair cut in between rounds of that fight. But Burgos has no regrets saying on The MMA Circus that, “It was memorable, so I don’t regret it whatsoever. It stuck out in people’s heads, it made people remember me, so that’s fine. But hopefully the next fight, they remember me because of the fight.”

Burgos believes this fight against Rosa is a great matchup for him and the right one in terms of stepping up in competition. He said he needs a good test to see how he handles quality UFC fighters who have experience.

UFC Picks

This fight between Rosa and Burgos is definitely not going to be dull, as both fighters are going to come out fast and hard. I think Rosa has the edge simply because of experience and the quality of fighters he has faced. I will take Rosa to get the win and I also think playing the rounds to go under is definitely worth considering.
