A true pressure fighter, the 26-year old Almeida is a beast when he’s coming forward. While his aggressive nature often leaves him open to bruising counters, Almeida’s work in the pocket cannot be denied. The young Chute Box standout is 21-2, with his only losses coming to former champion Cody Garbrandt and a top 5 contender in Jimmie Rivera.
Despite his insistence on crowding the pocket, Almeida prefers to react to his opponent’s moves. An excellent athlete, “Thominhas” is particularly good at slipping punches and ripping off laser fast combinations.
