Vinc Pichel makes his return to the octagon at UFC Fight Night 110, as he takes on Damien Brown in one of the four preliminary bouts on FS1. The last time Pichel was in action was in 2014 when he defeated Anthony Njokuani at UFC 173. Pichel comes into this fight with a record of 9-1, while Brown is 17-9. Keep in mind that since this event is in New Zealand, it will have an earlier start time in the U.S., taking place on Saturday night, June 10. Let’s look at Brown vs. Pichel and UFC predictions.

Damien Brown (17-9, 2-1 UFC)
Brown made his UFC debut last year and lost to Alan Patrick at UFC Fight Night 85. Brown has come back strong from that loss, as he took out Cesar Arzamendia at UFC 201 by first round knockout and he got past Jon Tuck by split decision at UFC Fight Night 101.
Brown has won seven of his last eight fights overall. He has eight submission wins in his career and two knockouts. He has eight first round finishes.
Vinc Pichel (9-1, 2-1 UFC)
The story in this fight is really the return of Pichel who has been out of action for about three years. Pichel told MMAjunkie Radio that he plans on getting through this fight and fighting again quickly in his four-fight UFC deal. “So I’m planning on running through this fight, getting another fight hopefully in like a month, even less if I can, and just steamroll them from then, man. Right now, I’ve just got so much momentum behind me and so much confidence in my skill and my health that I’m just going to steamroll, I’m not stopping.”
Pichel said that he is not worried about rust being a factor in his return. “There ain’t no such thing.” Pichel said. “I’ve jumped up so much in my striking that in my training I’ve been kind of been hurting my partners a little bit, because I’m so sharp right now with my technique,” he added. “And my grappling, I’ve jumped up so much I’ve honestly just got my brown belt the other night. I’ve been a purple belt for a couple of years, and they just gave me my brown belt because of the leaps and bounds I’ve been making over the last year and my determination.”
Pichel said to The Signal that he is very blessed to be back in the UFC. “I’ve watched my life fall apart for so long in these last few years that it feels so good and it’s so uplifting to see things finally come back into place for me.”
