We get afternoon action in the UFC on Sunday, July 16, as UFC Fight Night 113 takes place at the SSE Hydro in Glasgow, Scotland. The preliminary card that can be seen on FS1 beginning at 1 p.m. Eastern includes a welterweight bout between Bobby Nash and Danny Roberts. Nash is 8-2 in his career but coming off a loss in his UFC debut, while Roberts is 13-2, including 2-1 in the UFC. This fight is one of four on the FS1 portion of the preliminary card, leading up to a six-fight main card, also on FS1, that features Gunnar Nelson vs. Santiago Ponzinibbio. Let’s look at Nash vs. Roberts and UFC picks.

Bobby Nash (8-2, 0-1 UFC)
Nash had won six straight fights before getting knocked out by Li Jingliang in his UFC debut at UFC on FOX 23. Nash has been a pro since 2014 and he has shown solid power with seven of his eight wins coming by stoppage. Four of his finishes have come in the first round. He has four wins by knockout and three by submission. Only two of his ten fights have gone to a decision.
Danny Roberts (13-2, 2-1 UFC)
Roberts was 11-1 in his career when he made his UFC debut against Nathan Coy in December of 2015. Roberts won that fight by submission and he followed that up with a win against Dominique Steele in April of 2016. Roberts is coming off a loss to Mike Perry at UFC 204 as he was knocked out in the third round. It was the first loss for Roberts in almost five years.
Roberts has been a pro since 2010 and most of his wins have come by stoppage. He has five wins by knockout and five by submission. Four of his finishes have come in the first round.
Roberts said to The Mirror that he learned from the loss to Perry and he will get back to winning when he takes on Nash in Scotland."There were few things from the fight which I took away and worked on. Anyone who knows me knows what I’m like, I'm 110 per cent and I walk forwards with a lot of heart and will always put pressure on myself to get that win. You either win or you learn. I’ve had some learning to do building up to my fight and then it’ll be time to shine.
Roberts said he is faster and stronger than ever. "There’s going to be nothing but lightning. A lot of my attributes are fine-tuned now – I’m faster, stronger and more athletic than ever.”
Roberts is from Liverpool and he will have the crowd cheering for him in this fight against Nash. "I’ve got a big contingency of fans from Scotland, a lot travelled down to watch me in Manchester last time and a few have even travelled over to Las Vegas to watch me. The Glaswegians, and Scottish people in general, are good people. I must have had 100 Scottish fans turn up in Manchester and I’m looking forward to getting back out in front of them and being in Glasgow so they can witness what I’m all about."
UFC Picks
Roberts has more talent and experience than Nash and he also gets the benefit of the home crowd advantage. I will take Roberts to get the win and taking the rounds under is also worth a look.
