Main Event

Heavyweight
Stefan Struve -105
Alexander Volkov -125
Over/under 1.5 rounds, over -170, under +150

Common Sense Says…

Struve’s losses follow a pattern: opponents stalk him, walk through his punches and reign hellfire on his chin until the daddy-long-legs wilts. Wanna know what Volkov’s good at? Taking punches and chin-checking dudes. Skyscraper’s 7-foot frame won’t even be a huge advantage in this one: the Russian stands 6’7” and moves well for his size.

UFC Betting Tip

Lay the price on Volkov to win. As a young heavyweight prospect rising up the ranks, he’s only going to get more expensive as he improves.

UFC Odds Pick: Volkov to win at -125

Lightweight
Rustam Khabilov -325
Desmond Green +255
Over/under 2.5 rounds, over -350, under +290

Common Sense Says...

Green loves himself an exhausting war of attrition - that’s when he’s at his best. Unfortunately for the American, dogfighting with a Dagestani is about as bright an idea as sticking a fork in a socket. Khabilov is a huge jump in competition for Green, and his blue-collar wrestling should take over.

UFC Betting Tip

Take the over. Neither guy is a finisher, and betting on round total hedges you against an upset.

UFC Odds Pick: Over 2.5 rounds at -350

Welterweight
Bryan Barberena +235
Leon Edwards -295
Over/under 2.5 rounds, over -240, under +200

Common Sense Says…

Not too long ago, Edwards was just a flashy, athletic kickboxer. But during his three-fight win streak, he’s upped his wrestling game to the point where he can win fights with it. That’s bad news for Barberena, whose signature approach is to grind opponents into fine powder. If he’s not able to take Edwards down, Barberena’s not going to be handle him on the feet.

UFC Betting Tip

I’m leaning Edwards hard, but Barberena’s price is tempting. This is, after all, a guy that scored massive upsets over hyperathletic fighters like Sage Northcutt and Warley Alves.

UFC Odds Pick: Barberena to win at +235
