LIGHTWEIGHTS

Glieson Tibau vs. Abel Trujillo

The 32-year old Glieson Tibau is one of the lightweight division’s most experienced fighters, with an astounding 25 fights inside the octagon over the course of nine years. He’s coming off a loss to Tony Ferguson, who is now considered a dark horse title contender. Trujillo is coming off a loss to Ferguson as well, but his only other loss came against another contender in Khabib Nurmagomedov. If he can get past Tibau - who is one of the division’s best gatekeepers - Trujillo could start a run at the top-15.

WELTERWEIGHTS

Yan Cabral vs. Johnny Case

Case has won 11 straight fights, including his first three in the UFC. Inside the octagon, he’s already earned one “Performance of the Night” and a TKO win. Cabral will be fighting for the first time in over a year after submitting Naoyuki Cotani in October 2014. This really is a test to see how good Case could be, as he’ll be traveling into hostile territory to face a world-class jiu-jitsu fighter.

FEATHERWEIGHTS

Clay Guida vs. Thiago Tavares

Although Guida is still ranked No. 11 by the UFC, he’s fallen a long way since his peak days as a top-10 UFC lightweight. Still, it’s surprising to see such a popular fighter relegated to the prelims considering that he’s 2-1 in his past three. Tavares will try to bounce back from a both a loss to Brian Ortega and a subsequent failed drug test. With 15 fight night bonuses between the two, there’s a great chance that this bout could net a few Performance of the Night awards.

FEATHERWEIGHTS

Kevin Souza vs. Chas Skelly

Since dropping his UFC debut to blue chip prospect Mirsad Bektic, Skelly has reeled off three straight wins - finishing his last two. The loss to Bektic snapped an 11-fight winning streak and remains his only career loss. Souza is 3-0 inside the UFC and has won 10 straight overall. The winner could conceivable find himself on the main card of another Fight Night in the near future.
