Also on the main card is lightweight veteran Jim Miller, Canadian male model Elias Theodorou and super prospect Sage Northcutt.

PREDICTION: Paige VanZant wins by submission in the fourth
While PVZ has had plenty of detractors during her rise as the strawweight division’s biggest star, her talent is real. Namajunas is a tough competitor who will give her a real test with a style that mirrors the relentless aggression of “12-gauge.” Both are young and extremely raw, but I give the edge to VanZant, who is a bit more experienced.
VanZant’s line has moved 10 points deeper into favorite territory since last week, and I expect that trend to continue has more people hop onto her hype train. Should she pull off a victory, the UFC might be forced to give her a title shot against the winner of Jedrzejczyk-Gadelha.

PREDICTION: Michael Chiesa wins by split decision
Jim Miller is one of the most experienced, well-respected lightweights in the UFC. A few years ago, he was a mainstay in the top-10 and a dark horse contender. Although he’s past his prime, he’s still got plenty left in the tank at 32. Michael Chiesa, 27, is an underrated lightweight prospect and a talented submission artist. He’ll have a significant size advantage over Miller, and if he can capitalize on a five-inch height advantage on the feet he has a clear path to victory.

PREDICTION: Northcutt by TKO in the first round
19-year old Sage Northcutt is the most electric lightweight prospect in the UFC, hands down. But the college student still has the training wheels attached, as the promotion is gifting him with opponents that he undeniably outclasses. Pfister, a fringe fighter, does not half the tools that Northcutt already possesses. Expect Northcutt to explode early, leveling Pfister with a blinding combination and ending it quickly.

PREDICTION: Theodorou wins by unanimous decision
Elias Theodorou is more than just a former male model that looks like Gaston. He’s the winner of TUF Nations and an exciting prospect in his own right. Thiago Santos is coming off the best performance of his career, knocking out Steve Bosse in 29 seconds this past June. However, Theodorou’s blend of athleticism and all-around skills could make him a real player at 185 sooner than later. That potential should lead him to a convincing victory over Santos.
