UFC Fight Night 93 Odds: Ryan Bader vs. Ilir Latifi, Michelle Waterson vs Aisling Daly Fight Previews

Don’t look now, but UFC Fight Pass is putting on a surprisingly good card in effort to boost it’s subscriptions. Look no further than the supporting acts to the main and co-main for evidence. We’ve got perennial light heavyweight contender Ryan Bader in a matchup against the gritty Ilir Latifi, and “The Karate Hottie” Michelle Waterson takes on former TUF 20 contestant Aisling Daly. Let’s break down those two matchups.

Light Heavyweights

Ryan Bader -255
Ilir Latifi +210
Over/under 1.5 rounds, over -170, under +150

FIGHT PREVIEW

It’s hard not to feel bad for Bader, who racked up a five-fight winning streak that probably justified a title shot. Instead, he was passed over by the returning Jon Jones and thrown into the ring with serial killer Anthony Johnson instead. Less than two minutes later, he was out cole, courtesy of “Rumble’s” murder hammers that he calls fists.

Still, Bader remains one of the best 205-pounders in the world, with elite wrestling, above-average power and good boxing. While Latifi is on a three-fight win streak of his own, Bader is by far the best light heavyweight he’s faced to date. Nothing in Latifi’s fight reel suggests that he has what it takes to get to where Bader is today.

“Darth” has clear paths to victory through his wrestling, and he could easily use his five inch height advantage to outstrike the Swede. I just don’t see any way Latifi pulls off the upset. Stick with Bader to win, but stay away from the over/under.

UFC Odds: Bader TKO Latifi, Round 2

Lightweights

Nick Hein -210

Tae Hyun Bang +180

Over/under 2.5 rounds, over -190, under +161

BETTING GUIDE

Hein’s placement on the main card is a nod to the German crowd, as he’s a native of Cologne. While not particularly dominant in any area of MMA, he’s a well-rounded fighter who has consistently found wins inside the octagon, going 3-1 in his UFC career.

South Korea’s Bang is a pure headhunter, and we’ve seen a lot of similar fighters coming out of the region. He’s definitely got some pop, as he’s notched 9 KOs in 18 career wins, but he has little else to offer. Hein has more avenues to victory, and has the grappling skill to expose Bang’s tepid ground game.

UFC Odds: Hein SUB Bang, Round 3
