Ferguson vs. dos Anjos

Tony Ferguson +130

Rafael dos Anjos -150

Rounds 3.5 over -135

The headliner has dos Anjos a slight favorite against Ferguson. This bout that can be seen on FS1 had dos Anjos winning five straight before losing to Eddie Alvarez a few months ago. It won’t be easy against Ferguson who has won his last eight bouts including wins over Edson Barboza, Josh Thomson and Abel Trujillo. Dos Anjos is 25-8 in his career including 14-6 in the UFC while Ferguson is 21-3 including 11-1 in the UFC.

Dos Anjos is looking to beat Ferguson and then get another title shot. “He’s the guy that I’m going to beat - and then I’m going fight for the title again and win it back.” dos Anjos said, “I’m sure I’m the best fighter in this division and I will prove it once again.”

UFC Picks

I will take dos Anjos to get the win.

Sanchez vs. Held

Diego Sanchez +215

Marcin Held -260

Rounds 2.5 over -156

This is a big fight for Sanchez who has won just two of his last five fights. He should have the edge against Held on the mat and it is a little surprising to see him such a big underdog against Held who is making his UFC debut.

UFC Picks

I will take this fight under the rounds total and also make a small play on Sanchez.

Lamas vs. Oliveira

Ricardo Lamas +105

Charles Oliveira -125

Rounds 1.5 over -175

Lamas was supposed to fight BJ Penn at UFC Fight Night 97 but Penn pulled out so Lamas now has a tough fight against Oliveira at UFC Fight Night 98. Oliveira has the edge on the mat and he may have enough to get the win against Lamas, even on short notice.

UFC Picks

I will take Oliveira in this one.

Dariush vs. Magomedov

Beneil Dariush +120

Rashid Magomedov -140

Rounds 2.5 over -175

This is a toss-up- fight with Magomedov a slight favorite. Dariush is very good with his striking and he has excellent takedown defense while Magomedov is a very good striker who also has a good takedown defense. This one should be exciting with one of the two getting a knockout.

UFC Picks

I will take this fight under the total.

Clark vs. Grasso

Heather Jo Clark +371

Alexa Grasso -468

Rounds 2.5 over -265

Grasso is a big favorite in this one as she comes in as one of the top fighters in the 115 pound class. Clark made her name at Ultimate Fighter 20 and she does have a win over Bec Rawlings.

UFC Picks

Grasso should win easily but the price is too high so I will just take the fight under.

Martin Bravo vs. Claudio Puelles – TUF Latin America 3 Finale

Bravo is 10-0 in his career and was coached by Forrest Griffin on the show. Puelles is 7-1 and he was coached by Chuck Liddell.

UFC Picks

I will take Bravo to get the win.

Preliminaries on FS1

Erik Perez vs. Felipe Arantes

Erick Montano vs. Max Griffin

Enrique Briones vs. Douglas Silva de Andrade

Marco Beltran vs. TBA

Preliminaries on UFC Fight Pass

Sam Alvey vs. Alex Nicholson

Marco Polo Reyes vs. Jason Novelli

Chris Avila vs. Enrique Barzola
