WILL FRANKIE EVER GET HIS SHOT?

Frankie Edgar +145

Conor McGregor -175

If everything goes to plan, then the winner of Aldo-Edgar at UFC 200 will face champion Conor McGregor at a future date. But when does anything ever go to plan in the UFC? For now, you can bet on Edgar at +145, which is a good deal considering that he’s got the style to stymy “Notorious.”

Let’s hope it happens soon, as Edgar has resorted to trash-talking to try and drum up interest for the fight. That’s totally not his wheelhouse, and it’s obvious. He’s a humble, hardworking guy that’s selling himself short by trying to goad McGregor. Just keep winning fights, Frankie, and your time will come.

IRELAND VS. BRAZIL, PT. 2

Jose Aldo +160

Conor McGregor -200

Their first fight took about a year to finally come to fruition. After a multi-continent world tour, endless press conferences and an unending stream of trash talk, they finally met and Aldo got knocked out cold in 13 seconds. Yup, the best featherweight in UFC history and one of the all-time greats didn’t even get a chance to really throw his hands.

He’s been gunning for a rematch ever since. A lot of fighters with far less impressive resumes have been granted immediate runbacks, but the UFC is pretty much letting Conor call his own shots. And right now, his interests are elsewhere. Still, there’s a good possibility that sooner or later that these two will meet again and we’ll see a longer bout.

LET’S GET ROWDY

Cristiane Justino +230

Ronda Rousey -290

Cyborg vs. Rousey has been posted in our Future Events section for years now -- although the hype behind it has resided a bit since Rousey lost her belt to Holly Holm. But with Cyborg finally making her UFC debut, albeit at catchweight, this past Saturday, this matchup has one less obstacle to overcome.

Now, the questions that remain are whether Ronda will indulge Justino in a catchweight bout, and when the former bantamweight champ will return. This is still a superfight of the highest degree between two of the most savage women fighters in the world -- and MMA fans would watch in droves. Considering the money that could be made, I’m sure Dana White and Co. will at least attempt to get it made.

THIRD TIME’S A CHARM

Miesha Tate +350

Ronda Rousey -500

Tate has already gotten her ass handed to her twice by Rousey. But now that Tate is the champion and her biggest rival is Ronda, you have to think that they’ll go for a third scrap if Miesha remains champ. All indications point to Rowdy’s return in November.

Unfortunately for Miesha, this is a horrible style matchup. Tate isn’t a striker like Holm, and her biggest strength -- wrestling -- can be swallowed up by Rousey’s judo and submissions. I don’t think this matchup would go any different from the others. Let’s not forget that Rousey nearly snapped her arm in half.
