NO CM PUNK YET

Date: TBD

CM Punk +265

Mickey Gall -350

We’re going to have to wait a little bit longer to see WWE superstar CM Punk in the octagon. Shortly after the UFC stated that they were targeting UFC 199 or UFC 200 for his debut, Punk announced that he was having back surgery - with an expected recovery time of 4-6 months. At this point, it seems like we’ll never see him in the octagon.

BIG STAKES FOR BIG BEN

UFC Fight Night 86, April 10

Ben Rothwell -135

Junior dos Santos -105

The heavyweight division has a new Cinderella Man, and his name is Ben Rothwell. Nobody ever thought that Rothwell would ever be a legitimate title contender, but four straight finishes - including a TKO over Alistair Overeem and a submission win over Josh Barnett - has the burly Wisconsin native just one win away from a title. If he can beat former champion Junior dos Santos, he has nothing left to prove.

A STRAWWEIGHT TITLE ELIMINATOR

UFC on FOX 19, April 16

Rose Namajunas -170

Tecia Torres +130

The No. 2-ranked Namajunas and No. 3-ranked Torres square off in a pivotal strawweight clash. Although it’s not an official title eliminator, you’d have to assume that the winner will challenge either Joanna Jedrzejczyk or Claudia Gadelha for the belt - depending on the outcome of their rematch at The Ultimate Fighter Finale in July. The undefeated Torres owns a victory over Namajunas from a previous encounter in Invicta, but Namajunas has evolved at a frightening pace.

AND STILL OR AND NEW?

UFC 197, April 23

Demetrious Johnson -410

Henry Cejudo +290

Finally, Demetrious Johnson gets to defend his belt against a legitimate contender that he hasn’t already beaten. But we’ll see if undefeated Olympic gold medalist Henry Cejudo can actually offer up a challenge to DJ, who has handily beaten all comers and become one of the top pound-for-pound fighters on the planet. If Johnson beats Cejudo, there’s literally nobody left for him to face at 125 and a champion vs. champion matchup at bantamweight might be in order.
