UFC 200, July 9

Women’s Bantamweight Championship

Amanda Nunes +210

Miesha Tate -255

Over/under 1.5 rounds, over -255, under +190

Tate’s first title defense comes against a fierce striker in Amanda Nunes. Money lines opened with Tate as a -250 favorite, and it’s gone down to -255 in about a week. Given how great Nunes looked against Sara McMann in her last fight and how close Tate was to losing against Holly Holm, I expect this to even out as we get closer to the landmark UFC 200 card.

All in all, this should be an extremely entertaining fight. Tate is well-known for getting into trench wars and making last-minute comebacks, and Nunes might have the fastest hands in the division.

UFC 199, June 4

Featherweights

Max Holloway vs. Ricardo Lamas

ODDS COMING SON

Holloway has quickly ascended the 145-pound ranks and is widely considered a top-4 fighter in the division. But with champion Conor McGregor and both Frankie Edgar and Jose Aldo tied up, the young Hawaiian gets a stay-busy fight against a former title challenger.

Although it’d be nice to see Holloway in a title eliminator, I don’t think you’ll hear many complaints about this booking. Lamas is a former title challenger whose not afraid of prolonged firefight. Holloway is one of the fastest, most athletic fighters in the division and possesses an extremely dynamic offense.

UFC 199, June 4

Middleweights

Dan Henderson vs. Hector Lombard

ODDS COMING SOON

UFC 199 is quickly filling out with awesome fights, as Henderson vs. Lombard was announced with the aforementioned Holloway bout. These two fighters are noted headhunters, and their primary concern is collecting scalps via knockout. Perhaps we’ll see one last patented “H-Bomb” from the legendary Hendo.

Prior to his suspension for PEDs, Lombard was on a short list of title contenders but lost to a streaking Neil Magny in his return bout. He needs a win over Dan Henderson to stay relevant in the top-10. Considering how bad Dan has looked the past few years, the UFC odds at BookMaker are making him a huge underdog.
