UFC odds - New odds now available for UFC 199: Rockhold vs. Weidman 2

UFC 199 update - Luke Rockhold

You might think that UFC 199 is the ugly redheaded stepchild when compared to the aweomse UFC 200. You’d be wrong, because the June 4 card is shaping up to be pretty sweet, with two title fights leading the way. Check out the odds we’ve got so far.

MAIN EVENT

Middleweight championship

Chris Weidman +166

Luke Rockhold -195

Over/under 3.5 rounds, over -140, under +100

A few weeks ago, Rockhold’s money line was at -180 with Weidman’s at +150. We can make the assumption that most of the action has been on Rockhold, and I’d expect that to continue. Word has gotten out that both men were fighting injured, but isn’t that the case with every bout?

What I do know is that Rockhold began pulling away from Weidman in their first encounter and ended up pounding him out. That has to give the AKA standout a mental edge, and the champion was already an extremely confident fighter to begin with. Come fight night, I wouldn’t be surprised if Rockhold was around -210.

CO-MAIN EVENT

Bantamweight championship

Dominick Cruz -550

Luke Rockhold +430

Over/under rounds, over , under

Sure, this is a grudge match, but the UFC odds at BookMaker are also pointing to a squash match. Dominick Cruz has never been defeated inside the octagon, and it looked like he hadn’t lost a step when he returned for yet another major injury to reclaim his belt from T.J. Dillashaw. Faber is still one of the better fighters at 135, but at 37 years old he’s past his peak. Still, this should be a fun matchup, as both men are hyperactive fighters inside the cage.

Lightweights

Bobby Green +160

Dustin Poirier -200

Over/under rounds, over , under

Poirier is coming off an upset victory over Joe Duffy, who was more than a 3-to-1 favorite going in. Now, he gets another high-level opponent in Bobby Green, an explosive opponent with superb wrestlingn and one-shot knockout power. Should Poirier get past Green, we would have to consider the former featherweight contender a present lightweight contender. Don’t care about any of that? Then tune in because Poirier is never in a boring fight -- he’s already got a Fight of the Year to his credit.
