UFC Odds Online: Betting on Ronda Rousey now and in the future

Ronda-Rousey-Profile.ac

UFC betting online: It’s getting far more difficult to find credible challengers for UFC women’s bantamweight champ Ronda Rousey (11-0). While Bethe Correia (9-0) is slated to get the next shot at the champ at UFC 190, many are already writing her off for good reason: Rousey has absolutely destroyed anyone that’s stepped in the cage with her.

Let’s take a look at the Rousey vs. Correia odds, and speculate on what the odds would be against any other “challenger.”

UFC 190: Ronda Rousey vs. Bethe Corriea

Bookmaker UFC odds: Rousey at minus-1500, Correia at plus+700

Yeah, those aren’t typos. While Correia has an undefeated record and knocked off a few of Rousey’s training partners, there’s nothing in her past fights to suggest she can match up with the champ’s strength and savage efficiency. If she can make it out of the first round, that’s a win in itself of the Brazilian challenger.

Dream matchup: Ronda Rousey vs. Cris “Cyborg” Justino

Hypothetical Bookmaker UFC odds: Rousey at minus -350, Justino at +200

This is the matchup everyone wants, but Rousey isn’t budging in her demand that Justino makes 135 pounds. Even with Justino’s own brand of viciousness, she’d have to cut a massive amount of weight to make the fight, and that will inevitably have a huge effect. There’s also the fact that Justino has never faced anyone with Ronda’s physicality and lightning quick submissions and would not fare so well when she’s the one being bullied.

But then again, Ronda’s never faced anyone like Justino, who matches her strength and aggression. Throw in the fact that they’ve been bickering for years, and you’ve got one of the biggest fights you can make in MMA.

The sellable rematch: Ronda Rousey vs. Cat Zingano

Hypothetical Bookmaker UFC odds: Rousey at minus-1600, Zingano at plus+800

On paper and to the eyes, Zingano seemed like she’d be Rousey’s toughest test to date. However, Zingano made a crucial mistake in charging the challenger and getting caught in an armbar. A second go-round with the champ would probably prove far different, with Zingano actually getting time to test the champ. However, the end result would probably be the same.

The not-so-sellable rematch: Ronda Rousey vs. Miesha Tate

Hypothetical Bookmaker UFC odds: Rousey at minus-2000, Tate at plus+1000

While Tate remains Rousey’s biggest rival, Ronda has already dominated Miesha twice. Tate was impressive in her last outing beating Sara McMann, but she still isn’t on the same level as Rousey, and never will be. However, if she keeps winning – which is definitely plausible in an extremely thin division – the UFC might be forced to put on another bout between the two. We can also expect the same result.
