The 1st round KO loss to Rockhold was especially telling, considering that Rockhold is widely considered the No. 1 contender at middleweight.

Although Philippou is a former boxer and this fight projects to be a standup affair, Mousasi is a better MMA striker, mixing punches, kicks, knees and elbows at a much higher level than Philippou. And if this fight ever goes to the ground, Mousasi is an underrated submission artist as well, with 12 submission victories in his 36 wins. Simply put, Mousasi has the advantage anywhere this fight goes, and this is an extremely winnable fight for him.
