UFC betting online: Here comes the boom. In a matchup between two men who both weigh in at the 265-pound heavyweight limit, heavyweight Antonio “Bigfoot” Silva - 18-7, 13 KOs, 3 SUBs - will meet Soa “The Hulk” Palalei - 22-4, 18 KOs, 4 SUBs - at UFC 190 in Brazil.

Given the one-punch knockout power of these giants, it’s highly likely that we see somebody’s lights turned out before the fight is over.

CURRENT ODDS

Check our UFC 190 odds for the latest Nogueira-Struve bets. I’d expect Silva to be the favorite, as he was recently a top-5 fighter in the division. The over/under is likely to be set at 1.5 rounds, with the under as the heavy betting favorite. Nobody, including oddsmakers, are expecting this fight to go the final bell, or even the third round.

BIGFOOT VS. THE HULK

Although Silva is currently ranked No. 12 by the UFC, the Brazilian is in a must-win situation, going winless in his past four fights. More telling is the fact that he was knocked out in three of those. A loss to an unranked fighter like Palalei would effectively send Silva to mid-tier status, right there with the Lavar Johnsons and Jared Rosholts of the world.

Palalei is a giant Samoan from Australia who makes clear his desire to bang. With 18 KOs in 22 victories, “The Hulk” never stops coming forward and throwing heavy leather. While he’ll never reach the heights that Bigfoot has, he’s settled into his role as a heavyweight KO artist, notching a 4-1 UFC record against mid-card fighters.

Silva is definitely a jump in competition for Palelei, in both name recognition and skill level. For the most part, the UFC has thrown the Australian into the cage against other mid-level strikers to produce crowd-pleasing slugfests. Now, the promotion is throwing him a bone against a ranked heavyweight.

FIGHT ANALYSIS AND PICK

Silva has got to be anxious, fighting on home soil in a matchup that could decide whether he still belongs in the upper tier of heavyweights. But his increasingly vulnerable chin is worrisome. If he fights smart, he possesses all the tools to beat Palalei, but he has to avoid a slugfest at all costs. If Palalei is a huge underdog, I think a small bet on him makes sense, as Silva has proven extremely hittable and easily drawn into brawls.
