UFC betting online: England’s “Fearless” Tom Breese (7-0, 1 KO, 6 SUBs) will look to keep his undefeated record intact when he meets Brazil’s Luiz Jorge Dutra Jr. (11-3, 3 KOs, 3 SUBs) in Brazil later this month.
The bout will mark Breese’s UFC debut, while Dutra seeks to bounce back from a loss in his own debut against Kiichi Kunimoto and UFC Fight Night in January 2014. The two will pair off on the prelims of an event headlined by welterweight contenders Carlos Condit and Thiago Alves.
Check Bookmaker’s Breese-Dutra odds for the latest money lines on each fighter, and expect Breese to be the favorite going into the bout. Breese has the look of an exciting prospect, and oddsmakers will definitely take notice. In this three-round bout, the over/under is likely to be set at 2.5 rounds, with the over being the slightly more expensive bet.
Just 23 years old, Breese is a massive welterweight, standing 6’3” with a muscled frame. However, he’s much more a submission artist than a puncher, with six submissions in his seven overall wins. He’s definitely taking a huge step up in competition now that he’s in the UFC, and his first bout takes place in hostile territory as he matches up against a native Brazilian on his home soil.
Dutra is 10 years the elder of Breese at 33, and bounced around the Brazilian regional circuit before landing in the UFC. While his UFC debut was technically a loss, Dutra wasn’t really beaten because he was disqualified for elbows to the back of the head. He did face Paul Thiago – a current UFC fighter – back in 2008 in Jungle Fight, but lost when he suffered a knee injury in the bout. So we really have no measuring stick for Dutra when it comes to how good he can be in the UFC.
If you bet on Breese-Dutra with our UFC odds, I like Breese to take this fight. While he may be untested on the biggest stage, his physical advantages are just to great to ignore. He’s 10 years younger, four inches taller and has finished all of his fights before the final bell. It appears that Breese has a bright future, and it should start with a win over Dutra.
