UFC betting online: The Ultimate Fighter: Brazil winner Warlley Alves - 8-0, 1 KO, 4 SUBs - will look to keep his perfect record intact when he faces French-Canadian Nordine Taleb - 11-2, 5 KOs - at UFC 190 in Rio de Janeiro.

Taleb is a TUF veteran himself, having competed in TUF: Nations in 2014. Both men are undefeated in the octagon, with five fights between them.

CURRENT ODDS

Check our UFC 190 odds for the latest Alves-Taleb money lines. I’d expect Alves to be the favorite as the younger, more accomplished fighter. The over/under is likely to be set at 2.5 rounds, with the over being the favorite – both are hanging just around 50% when it comes to finishing rate.

PROVING GROUND

The 24-year old Alves made his UFC debut at the TUF: Brazil 3 finale, beating Marcio Alexandre Jr. with a technical submission. Most recently, he beat Alan Jouban at UFC Fight Night 56. While Jouban is hardly a big name in the division, he’s a solid fighter and a great win for a prospect like Alves to have on his resume. Prior to the UFC, Alves went undefeated in Brazil’s Jungle Fights, the top regional promotion in the MMA-crazed country.

Taleb is 3-0 in the octagon, with wins over Vik Grujic, Jingliang Li and Chris Clements. Not the best competition, but everyone’s got to start somewhere. Before his TUF: Nations stint, the TriStar Gym member also fought in Bellator, going 2-1 with a notable decision loss to Marius Zaromskis. Now, he’ll venture into hostile territory to fight Alves on his home soil.

All eyes are on Alves right now, who is hoping to become the next hot prospect at welterweight. While he hasn’t exactly set the world on fire with his two UFC wins, his youth and solid ground skills are intriguing.

FIGHT ANALYSIS + PREDICTION

Taleb will want to keep this fight on the feet, where his decent power gives him an edge. But Warlley has proven he can take a punch, and his grappling skills far outshine the Canadian’s. Alves is quicker and more athletic, and though his wrestling isn’t anything special, it should be enough to get Taleb to the ground, where he’ll be lost against a BJJ specialist. By the third round, Alves should be able to get through a worn-down Taleb’s defense and score a tapout.
