Meza is replacing South Korean Doo Ho Choi, who withdrew due to undisclosed reasons. The matchup will close out the prelim portion of the card and will be televised on FOX Sports 1.

Meza recently returned to the featherweight division after taking a few fights at bantamweight. Most recently, the MMA Lab team member notched a decision over Damian Stasiak in April. The 34-year old hasn’t been very impressive, but two of his three losses came against No. 1 contender Chad Mendes and prospect Sergio Pettis.
Sicilia competed on TUF 15, but has alternated wins and losses in his past six fights. Having just knocked out Akira Corassani in his last bout, the 29-year old can finally notch a winning streak against Meza. It’s desperately needed, as Sicilia is exactly the type of middling fighter the UFC is quick to cut after losses.
With the UFC cutting fighters in waves, both fighters must be fully cognizant of the fact that they are highly expendable. If Sicilia and Meza fight desperate – as they should – this bout could be a dark horse for Fight of the Night Honors.

Sicilia to win at minus-165 is the smart pick, especially since Meza comes in on very short notice. But this is one you might want to stay away from.
If I were forced to choose, I’d take Sicilia to win by unanimous decision. He’s a bit more seasoned against better competition than Meza.
