We’ve done our fight previews and made a few predictions for this Saturday’s card. But if you’re still on the fence about some bets, it’s time to consider some underdogs. This card just happens to be brimming with live dogs from top to bottom. Let’s sort ‘em out.

LIVE ‘DOGS
Rose Namajunas -183 vs. Tecia Torres +145
Raquel Pennington -190 vs. Bethe Correia +161
Sure, Namajunas looked like a killer against Paige VanZant, but you have to attribute some of that to PVZ’s inexperience and unrefined skill. Torres is an undefeated whirling dervish with serious skill and strength. It is not going to be an easy fight for “Thug” Rose -- and she has already lost to Torres once.
Pennington has a habit of turning fights into a grinding battles of attrition. Look no further to her split decision loss to Holly Holm as an example. Correia is a good striker for sure, but she’s not an explosive athlete nor an overwhelming wrestler. If it comes down to a clinchfest -- which I think will happen -- it’s anyone’s game.
WARM ‘DOGS
Glover Teixeira -210 vs. Rashad Evans +175
Cub Swanson -125 vs. Hacran Dias +105
Evans hasn’t looked good for years, but the former champion also hasn’t been healthy for a very long time. It’s tough to forget how bad he looked in his last fight against Bader, but it’s also hard to believe that he’s completely done at 36. The standup-oriented Teixeira is exactly the type of fighter that “Suga” used to shut down in his heydey, giving him a clear path to victory.
Cub Swanson has lost two straight, though they came against top-4 fighters. Still, he was dominated from bell-to-bell in both and is carrying a ton of wear and tear on his body. Dias might not be as recognizable as Cub, but he is younger and has taken far less damage. There’s a reason why he’s such a small underdog, though he’s at a serious disadvantage on the feet.
‘DOGS DEAD IN THE WATER
Dan Henderson +270 vs. Lyoto Machida -330
Beneil Dariush -165 vs. Michael Chiesa +140
ODDS COMING SOON: Darrell Horcher vs. Khabib Nurmagomedov
Nurmagomedov hasn’t fought for two years and is coming off two major surgeries. Still, his late notice opponent, Darrell Horcher, is a UFC newcomer who isn’t in the same league as the Dagestani native. This is now effectively a tune-up fight for “The Eagle”, and you shouldn’t even think about betting on Horcher.
Henderson is completely shot, end of story. Machida is definitely on the decline, but he’s still a top fighter at 185. Nothing in Henderson’s last eight fights suggests that he’s still able to handle challenges inside of the top-15. Let’s hope this is his last fight.
Michael Chiesa is good, but Dariush projects to be a future contender. Both men are wrestlers, but it is Dariush that clearly has the better physical tools to work with. Expect him to smother Chiesa for the majority of three rounds.
