This Saturday, the UFC heads to Kansas City, Missouri, for a card that’s arguably deeper from top to bottom than the pay-per-view card it hosted just last week. While there’s only one championship fight headlining this card, one could argue that every main card fight - and even the televised prelim - will have considerable impact in their respective division.

Let’s dive into the UFC odds at BookMaker.eu, and surmise some common sense betting picks to help you end the night a winner at the sportsbook.

Main Event

Flyweight Championship

Demetrious Johnson -739
Wilson Reis +533
Over/under 3.5 rounds, over -165, under +145

Common Sense Says…

Though Reis has won three in a row, his biggest qualification here is that he’s a guy that “Mighty Mouse” hasn’t faced yet. Johnson has pretty much cleaned out the division, and right now the UFC is struggling to find any remotely worthy challengers that he hasn’t already beaten. DJ is just that good.

The UFC fight odds suggest that this should be a lopsided matchup, and you should fall in line here. DJ is the most dominant champ in the promotion, and he should be able to easily avoid Wilson’s dangerous grand game. This is pretty much a lock.

UFC odds pick: Parlay Johnson to win at

Co-Main Event

Strawweight

Rose Namajunas -135
Michelle Waterson +115
Over/under 2.5 rounds, over -175, under +145

Common Sense Says…

Waterson is the more experienced fighter, but she’s fighting above her weight class against a rapidly evolving young dynamo in Rose Namajunas. Still, this is an extremely difficult fight to call, and neither woman figures to have much of an advantage over the other in almost any phase of this fight.

Instead, consider the over on 2.5 rounds here. Both women are extremely durable and well-versed in the submission game. Neither have true knockout power, suggesting that this is a matchup that’ll easily make it to the final bell.

UFC odds pick: Over 2.5 rounds at -175

Middleweight

Ronaldo Souza -230
Robert Whittaker +190
Over/under 1.5 rounds, over -145, under +125

Common Sense Says…

This is probably too much, too soon for the young Robert Whittaker. While the 26-year old has certainly been impressive during his six-fight win streak, he’s facing an absolute killer in Jacare Souza. The Brazilian has been torturing UFC opponents with his brutal brand of jiu-jitsu en route to a 7-1 UFC record.

While I do think that the Aussie will put on a decent showing, he’s taking a giant leap in competition. Unless he pulls out another gear that we’ve never seen, it’s doubtful he can put a damper in Jacare’s title hopes.

UFC odds pick: Souza to win at -230

Featherweight

Jeremy Stephens -195
Renato Carneiro +155
Over/under 2.5 rounds, over -140, under +100

Common Sense Says…

Carneiro is 10-0, with two wins inside the octagon. The UFC must think really highly of the Brazilian, because he’s going from eking out a split decision win over an unknown Zubaira Tukhugov to the No. 5 ranked Jeremy Stephens.

Then again, Stephens is mired in a 2-4 slide, though all of those losses have come against fellow contenders. This isn’t exactly an easy get-right fight for “‘Lil Heathen”, but he will have a huge advantage in the standup phase against the grappling-oriented “Moicano.”

UFC odds pick: Stephens to win at -195

Heavyweight

Roy Nelson +105
Alexander Volkov -145
Over/under 2.5 rounds, over -170, under +105

Common Sense Says…

40-year old Roy Nelson really doesn’t have much left, save for a huge right hand that can still turn the lights out. While “Big Country” is still a fan favorite, he’s going to have trouble against the more agile, longer Volkov, who showed that he can take a crack and keep swinging against Timothy Johnson.

What’s more, it’s doubtful that Nelson will be able to muscle the Russian around - a bigger, heavier Johnson couldn’t. Expect Volkov to keep Big Country at the end of his punches and take a decision.

UFC odds pick: Volkov to win at -145

Flyweight

Tim Elliott -300
Louis Smolka +220
Over/under 2.5 rounds, over -190, under +150

Common Sense Says…

Elliott is fresh off giving Demetrious Johnson one of the most challenging title defenses of his career. The man is huge for the division, and he knows how to use that size when it comes to striking and wrestling. On the feet, she should be able to light up Smolka, who is deficient in the striking department. And while Smolka is an excellent grappler, it’s likely he’ll get overpowered on the mat as well by the bigger Elliott.

UFC odds pick: Elliott to win at -300
