Mexico is just one point away from reach the Hexagonal stage of World Cup qualifying. Tuesday's game against Canada should provide the finishing touches on the Group A title.

ODDS ANALYSIS
Unlike the United States, which has struggled mightily in qualifying, Mexico has made no mistakes – literally! El Tri have outscored their three foes in Group A 8-0 thus far in three matches, and that's why they're right on the verge of securing in spot in the final qualifying stage for the World Cup out of CONCACAF.
Last Friday's match at BC Place could've been a horror for the Mexicans. Canada's soccer culture is getting stronger with each passing day thanks to the strong presence of the MLS, and that match against Mexico on Friday night in Vancouver could've been a huge step in the right direction for the Canucks. Instead, Mexico blitzed Canada, winning 3-0 and leaving no doubt as to who the superior team is in this group of four with El Salvador and Honduras.
That's why El Tri will be favored by a huge margin at home, where they've really beaten up on their competition in recent months.
LINEUP ANALYSIS
Mexico's 4-3-3 formation provided Canada with all sorts of problems on Friday night. Hirving Lozano, Javier Hernandez and Jesus Corona all found the target, and sub Marco Fabian had his moment in the last half hour in which he just missed what would've been Mexico's fourth. With 19 shots, nine of which hit the target, it was a fantastic display from a great attacking side.
We can't see Juan Carlos Osorio making many changes to his lineup unless he realizes that he has some games to play with now, and just one point from this one will be good enough to advance to the last stage of the World Cup.
Canada's big problem is that it really only has one legitimate striking option, that being Cyle Larin, the Orlando City Soccer standout. Marcel De Jong led a defense which was overmatched from the get go at home against Mexico, and though you'd like to think there are going to be changes to the lineup, we're not sure where the Canucks will turn. Tesho Akindele came on late to try to provide some offensive spark, but he was nowhere to be found in the last third.
QUOTE TO NOTE
"We'll get to those games and we'll still be in with a fighting chance. No matter what the result was over there, we'll still go into the last two games with a chance because of what we did in the first two games." – Canada midfielder Will Johnson on his team's chances of qualifying for the Hexagonal, the last stage of World Cup qualifying in CONCACAF
ANALYSIS AND ODDS PREDICTION
Canada hasn't scored a goal on Mexican soil since 1980, and they're 0-5-1 all-time in their six visits, getting clocked by an aggregate of 21-2 in those matches. The Canadians know that their fate will come down to the last two matches against Honduras and El Salvador. They'll have the advantage for sure in those matches, especially if El Salvador manages to get a result at Honduras on Tuesday night.
That said, this is a game which is far above them. Canada has a budding team, and it's going to try to get forward at Azteca, but we just don't see it making a difference. If El Tri plays at their fullest potential offensively as they did on Friday, they'll roll to yet another relatively comfortable victory to move Osorio to a perfect 5-0-0 since he has taken over the national team.
