The Madrid Derby in the semifinals of the Champions League was expected to be 180, if not 210 minutes of agonizingly close soccer. However, it only took one man and effectively just 15 minutes or so to make it clear that Real Madrid is going to oust Atletico Madrid from the Champions League and move on to a date with most likely Juventus in Cardiff in June.
This Champions League duel will go down Wednesday, May 10, 2017, at 2:45 p.m. ET at Estadio Vicente Calderon. The match will be televised live on FOX Sports 1.

Odds Analysis
The fact of the matter is that Real Madrid doesn't need anything out of this match. It could lose 4-1 and still move on to the UCL Final, though surely, Zinedine Zidane will want to see a much better final result from this 90 minutes than that.
Still, the Atleti are effectively dead at this point. They're three goals down, they don't really have the creativity to put three in the back of the net all that often against even some of the worst sides in Spain, let alone against Real Madrid, and though they're playing at home, they still have to figure out how to keep Los Blancos off the scoreboard. Even one moment of brilliance would see Real to a de facto five-goal advantage after its 3-0 win.
As far as just this 90 minutes are concerned, the match is a dead pick 'em, +165 on both sides to win and PK -110 on the Asian Handicap. The total of a flat 2.5 is essentially par for the course at this level, too.
The First Leg
What more can be said about Cristiano Ronaldo? He's the first man to ever log consecutive hat tricks in the knockout rounds of the Champions League after firing in three against Bayern Munich in the second leg of that quarterfinal tie and now three against Atletico Madrid.
But it's hard to say that he acted alone even though he was the man most glaring on the stat sheet and quite obviously the Man of the Match. This was as dominant as dominance could be for Los Blancos, as they had 61 percent of the possession, fired off 17 shots and put seven on target, and if not for Jan Oblak in net for the Atleti, they would have been down by three 15 minutes into the match. Oblak, in spite of his horrid stat line, was fantastic for our money in that opening match, and that's about all good that could be said for Atletico Madrid. The little brothers of Real managed just four shots in totality at the Bernabeu, one of which challenged Keylor Navas and none of which were serious threats to notch what would have been a huge away goal.

This is another one of these really hard matches to handicap. Juventus feels like it's just going to sit back and nurse its 2-0 advantage at home, but Real Madrid doesn't really have that in it. Once Atletico Madrid opens things up – and it can't wait long to do so for sure – there are going to be holes at the back. There's no reason to think that Real can't pour in three or four more against a team that flat out isn't designed to play like this.
We only see two results here: A complete and utter dominance by Real Madrid for a second straight match or a completely boring result with maybe just one goal to show for the work of both teams. We'll take our chances on a big time Real Madrid triumph to embarrass its crosstown foe.
Champions League Odds: Real Madrid 4, Atletico Madrid 1
