Just two match days are left in the opening round of the Champions League, and if there's any movement left to be made in the groups, this is when it needs to happen. That said, we don't expect to see a lot of upsets here, knowing that many of the top teams are already mathematically through to the knockout rounds. The battles for positioning though, are still very much so hot and heavy.
These Champions League duels will go down Tuesday, November 22, 2016, with most of the kickoffs taking place at 2:45 p.m. ET. The AS Monaco/Tottenham match will be televised live on FOX Sports 1, while the Sporting CP/Real Madrid affair can be seen on FOX Sports 2.

Group E is probably where all of the drama lies in the Champions League, and the team in the center of it all is Tottenham. The Spurs were really expected to get out of this group, but they haven't held up their end of the bargain with just a 1-1-2 record in four matches. Their last chance comes this week on French soil. Olympique Lyon has eight points already and is almost certainly going to be in the knockout rounds, but a point will assure that to be the case.
Bayer Leverkusen will have its role here as well. With six points and most importantly, no defeats in four matches, the German side will advance with three points against CSKA Moscow. The difficulty comes in this trip to Russia, a place that is going to be brutally cold to play at in November. CSKA needs to win its last two matches to get into the last 16 of the Champions League, but it has an uphill battle for sure.
Group F is really already settled. Borussia Dortmund and Real Madrid will work out who will finish at the top of the table when those teams play in Spain on December 7, but both are already into the knockout rounds. Both should snare three more points against Legia Warsaw and Sporting CP respectively, though Sporting can lock up a spot in the Europa League with a point against the German side, as slim of a possibility as that seems.
Leicester City has one more bit of work to do to lock up its spot in the last 16 of the Champions League for the first time in its history, and it shouldn't have a problem doing that against Club Brugge. The Belgian side has been horribly overmatched in Group G, getting outscored 10-1 and being left without a point. The other match between FC Porto and FC Copenhagen will likely be the decisive one for which team advances as the second place team in this group.
FC Porto has a two-point lead right now, but if it loses this match in Denmark, not only will it be a point back with one match to play, but it will need to make up a goal differential that currently sits at -2 against Copenhagen as well. Should Porto get a point here, it's in good shape, but three will lock up that coveted last 16 spot and send Copenhagen to the Europa League.
Group H isn't quite settled yet, but it's going to take a Lyon victory over Juventus on Tuesday to leave anything on the burner for December 7. The French side has just four points in three matches and has to win its last two matches to have any shot of advancing. A Sevilla win over Dinamo Zagreb parlayed with a Lyon/Juve draw will lock up the standings of all four teams in the order of Sevilla, Juventus, Lyon and Dinamo Zagreb with the last match day being completely elementary.
