France and England aren't going to get the luxury of playing in the Confederations Cup, and neither one should be tested all that much in World Cup qualifying the rest of the way. The way that both of these teams are going to prepare for their inevitable descent to the World Cup in Russia next year is by playing teams like each other in friendly matches. The newest edition in the France/England rivalry will take place on Tuesday night at the Stade de France.
At 3 p.m. ET, tune into ESPN2 for live television coverage of this soccer match on Tuesday, June 13, 2017, at the Stade de France.

Odds Analysis
Most pundits will recognize these two teams to be on relatively level pegging on the international scene, and that's showcasing itself on the odds to win this match. France is the ever so slight -105 favorite on the moneyline, insinuating that it's basically 50/50 to win the match or not win it. England is +0.5 on the Asian Handicap.
The total of 2.5 comes with a vig of -130 on the under. Goals could be at a premium.
Roster Analysis
It'll be interesting to see how these old rivals handle this match. Neither one of these teams played particularly well in their World Cup qualifying fixtures over the weekend, and that might cause both managers to take this match a little more serious than they might have otherwise.
The real challenge for the Three Lions comes up front. There were only three legitimate strikers called up for these few games, and that means Marcus Rashford and the hero from the match against Scotland, Harry Kane will likely see time in this one. You'd think that this team has some of the best continuity in the world since literally the whole roster plays in the English Premier League, but there were far too many times at the back against Scotland that keeper Joe Hart and defensemen Kyle Walker, Ryan Bertrand, Gary Cahill and Chris Smalling flat out weren't on the same page, and that's why that match probably should have been lost.
France shouldn't be struggling to score goals right now, but outside of a five-goal outburst against Paraguay, there are a lot of problems up front. Antoine Griezmann, Olivier Giroud, Dimitri Payet and Paul Pogba should all be tremendous offensive threats, but these men have been kept relatively quiet in recent matches.
Recent Form
France has lost two of its last three matches. A 2-0 loss at home here at the Stade de France against Spain was proof that this team was potentially going to have problems in this tough summer stretch. A 2-1 loss to Sweden was confirmation of that. Sure, the loss for Les Bleus could be attributed directly to the boneheaded play by Hugo Lloris at the end of the match in Solna, but the team wasn't good enough to score all three points that day anyway.
England doesn't have the desired result in two of its last three matches as well. Kane needed to rescue a point from the match in Glasgow against Scotland with a strike in the third minute of stoppage time in a 2-2 draw. That came on the heels of a 2-0 win over Lithuania and a disappointment 1-0 loss at Germany in Dortmund.

Neither one of these teams are playing particularly inspiring soccer at this point, but the Stade de France is usually a fortress for the hosts. They played such great soccer last year in Euro 2016 on their home turf and were very unlucky not to ultimately win the tournament in the final against Portugal. After such a dull showing at Sweden, we'll bet on the French to rebound and snare a potential moment-capturing victory against one of their most bitter rivals.
