Italy has been the team of the tournament at Euro 2016 for our money. The team has already beaten Belgium and Spain, but the task isn't getting any easier in the quarterfinals against Germany, arguably the top team in the world and the World Cup holder.

ODDS ANALYSIS
The Italians are clearly picking up some steam in this competition. They've now won twice with their backs against the wall, and many are starting to believe they have a legit shot of winning this entire tournament. The task to get into the semis is still huge (and that's not even speaking of a likely semifinal duel with France), but a price of +320 on the moneyline makes this upset completely believable.
The Germans, of course, have to be huge favorites in this match, and they are so at +120 on the moneyline.
The total is the lowest of the four quarterfinals matches in Euro 2016 at 2 with -120 vig on the under.
TOURNAMENT UPDATE
All the credit in the world goes out to the Azzurri. They were the better team against Spain for the full 90 minutes and wholeheartedly deserved their 2-0 victory. So far, the only blemish against Italy is a 1-0 loss to Ireland in a match which literally meant zip to it and everything to the Irish, so we consider that result rather harmless.
Germany though, looked frightening against Slovakia in the Round of 16. The Germans were nothing special offensively in the opening stage of this competition, but for the first time, they really opened it up in spite of the fact that they don't really have a legitimate striker on the pitch. Jerome Boateng opened up the scoring in the 8th minute against the Slovaks, and Germany methodically broke them down from there to tally again in the 43th and 63rd minutes to make for an impressive 3-0 victory.
The Bavarians' one knock in the Euros was a scoreless draw against Poland, but let's not forget that Polish team is in the last eight as well.
LIVE BETTING
There's a heck of a lot of offensive talent on the pitch in this match, but it's the defenses and the net minders who deserve all of the praise. Italy has allowed just the one goal to Ireland in this tournament. Germany is still yet to concede.
Of course, that's not to say that both of these teams don't have the ability to run wild on the other, but the 3-5-2 of Italy and the 4-4-1-1 of Germany are both going to play right into the other's hands tactically. The Italians won't be required to have all that many behind the ball with just one lone striker up front, and their five-man midfield should end up in great duels with arguably the most talented four-man midfield on the planet.
The end result should be a rather cautious match. Scoring chances are going to be there, but with Manuel Neuer and Gianluigi playing at the top of their game once again, neither club may find the back of the net in this one.
QUICK PICK
Alas, we suspect this one is going to end up being played out over the full 120 minutes and then some. There isn't a heck of a lot separate the squads at this point, and we can see a circumstance in which this match goes two hours without either team slotting one home.
If either side does score, that goal is almost certain to be decisive.
Given the options here, Italy to advance feels like the best play to us aside from the under, but the only reason we're making the recommendation is because of the price. In our eyes, this is a complete coin flip of a match.
Euro 2016 Odds: Germany 0 – Italy 0 (Italy to advance on penalties)
