The Brits are expected to win this match for sure. They're -135 favorites on the moneyline and are better than 50/50 to take the three points. Slovakia is -135 to get the win which would guarantee it a spot in the last 16. The draw, a result which would help both sides for sure, is set at +235.
The total of 2.5 and -123 vig on the under almost insinuates that a 1-1 draw is a distinct possibility.
TOURNAMENT UPDATE
We'd never suggest that the fix is in during a match of this magnitude, especially with all of the problems FIFA has had of late with its internal scandals. However, a draw is great for both of these teams. It would assure England of a second place finish at minimum and the Group B title if Wales doesn't beat Russia, and it guarantees Slovakia four points, an amount which is sure to be good enough to get into the last 16 as nothing worse than the third place finisher in this group.
The Three Lions have felt the agony and the ecstasy of stoppage time goals in this tournament. They coughed up two points when Russia scored in the 90th minute in the first match day of the tournament, but Daniel Sturridge's goal in the 90th against Wales took a 1-1 draw and turned it into a 2-1 victory.
Slovakia used a big first half to beat Russia 2-1, a massive result considering the fact that the opening match against Wales was lost 2-1.
LIVE BETTING
England hasn't had a shortage of opportunities in this tournament, and for our money, it has been a lot better than four points suggests. The attack has constantly been pretty good, though the finishing has sometimes left a bit to be desired.
Jamie Vardy was fantastic in the second half after coming on as a sub against Wales, and Daniel Sturridge finishing the match in stoppage time was sweet for sure for a team which has deserved better. Harry Kane has been non-existent, and we're still not sure about the Wayne Rooney experiment in the midfield. However, if the Brits are at their best, there's no denying the fact that they can score four or five in this one if they really have to.
QUICK PICK
Slovakia very well could find itself overmatched here. It wasn't the better team in either of its first two matches for our money, and had Russia done a better job of finishing, it probably would be without a point and certainly no more than one.
Though we do see a situation playing out again where England gets a bit frustrated in the first half without scoring, a second half breakthrough seems inevitable. Even if Roy Hodgson calls off the dogs just a bit dependent upon what's going on in the other match between Wales and Russia, we still don't think he's going to want to leave anything to chance. The one will be enough for the Three Lions to move on as the Group B Euro Cup winners.
