The LA Galaxy remain one of the most polarizing teams in the MLS. They continue to play tremendous ball at home where they're 4-1-0 this season, and the only thing keeping them from the top of the table in the Western Conference is their lousy form on the road. The Galaxy get the San Jose Earthquakes at home on Sunday to wrap up Rivalry Week in the MLS.

ODDS ANALYSIS
The Galaxy are tremendous favorites in this match of -220. They're laying a goal and a half on the Asian Handicap, and that's just an enormous amount by MLS standards, especially against a team which is still on the right side of the playoffs. Sure, San Jose wasn't handicapped to get into the postseason this year, but it's tough to argue with 18 points in 11 matches and a +1 goal differential.
The total has to be very high in this one because of the de facto point spread. The total of 3 is to be expected, and the vig at -115 on the under is incredibly low.
KEY INJURIES
The Galaxy aren't sweating a lot of injuries right now. Alan Gordon is the only man who shows up on the injury report, and it's only a matter of time until he gets back on the pitch from his groin injury. He's not likely to start since he's a super sub by nature, but whether he can play 10 or 20 crucial minutes remains to be seen.
The Quakes have some worries in their midfield without Marc Pelosi and Cordell Cato. Clarence Goodson and Mark Sherrod are both out as well. Quincy Amarikwa, who is always an option to put alongside Chris Wondolowski up front, has a right hamstring injury and is questionable for this match.
LIVE BETTING
The Galaxy haven't lost since March 12, and perhaps the most important part of that is a 1-2-0 record on the road. Meanwhile here at home, LA has most recently crushed New England 4-2 and Real Salt Lake 5-2.
The Earthquakes only have three losses this year. All three were on the road against Western Conference contenders. That could be a real problem in this match, knowing that they are still winless on the season on the road at 0-2-3.
QUICK PICK
The Quakes have already come here to the StubHub Center once this MLS season, and they were dismissed 3-1. This road problem is really capable of biting San Jose in the backside, especially when you consider the fact that the last time it came to Carson and won was in 2012. The home team has won each of the last four battles in this rivalry, and three of the four meetings have been decided by multiple goals.
There are just too many options here for the Earthquakes to stop. Giovani dos Santos, Mike Magee, Gyasi Zardes, Robbie Keane, Steven Gerrard… These are all men who have multiple tallies this year, and they're all capable of a brace. Zardes was the man who scored twice in the first match of the year, and he could find himself in a lot of favorable positions again in this one.
San Jose's defense is going to be really tested here, and we think it isn't going to have the answers for all of the options LA is bringing to the table.
MLS Odds: LA 4, San Jose 1
