Huge opportunity arising for Swansea City to take out Manchester United on NBCSN Sunday

Outside of Manchester City, the big boys have yet to assert themselves this year in the EPL. It's still early, but there might never be a better time for a team like Swansea City to dismiss a giant like Manchester United, an opportunity of which will come on Sunday afternoon at Liberty Stadium.

ODDS ANALYSIS

Just looking at the Asian Handicap of PK in this game is scary for the Red Devils. It's almost as if the oddsmakers are begging you to bet on Man U at that price in spite of the -168 vig. Sure, Manchester United is +127 on the three-way line, but that price of +235 on Swansea City SU has to be considered tempting for sharp bettors.

With the Red Devils' offense slumping, the total is understandably set at a relatively low 2.5 and -138 vig.

KEY INJURIES

Injuries aren't the problem right now for Manchester United. The Red Devils aren't totally healthy, but Anders Lindegaard is a backup goalie at this point in his career, while Marcos Rojo probably won't end up playing a huge role for this team this year even when he is back in action.

Swansea should be welcoming back Ki to the lineup this weekend against Manchester United. He suffered a hamstring injury against Chelsea to start off the season and hasn't been back on the pitch since then.

QUOTE TO NOTE

"It's important to get the points on the board as soon as possible. We are a little disappointed to not have three from Sunderland, but it's one point and it's better than none, and we are going in the right way." – Swansea City manager Gerry Monk on the race to 40 points to stay out of relegation's way for sure in 2015-16

RECENT FORM

Even though the Swans punted those two extra points they probably should have gotten against Sunderland, they have nothing to hang their heads about from the outset of the year. They took a hard-earned point against Chelsea at Stamford Bridge and followed that with a 2-0 win over Newcastle in the home opener. The drop against Sunderland was of little consequence.

Manchester United does have to travel to Belgium on Wednesday for a clash to get into the Champions League against Club Brugge, and Louis van Gaal can't take any chances with that one, especially with the form his team is in at the moment. The Red Devils only have two goals in three EPL matches, and their most recent clash against Newcastle which resulted in a scoreless draw had the Old Trafford faithful voicing displeasure.

ANALYSIS AND PREDICTION

There's going to be a point that the Red Devils are going to start scoring goals. Wayne Rooney, in spite of his critics, probably isn't finished yet in his career, while Memphis Depay is going to get going at some point as well.

However, we don't think this is going to be the night that it all comes together.

Swansea, even after transferring Wilfried Bony last term to Manchester City, still played loose throughout the end of the season, and Monk has the club playing the same way thus far in 2015.

As we said, the opportunity is definitely there for the Swans to fly high, and for as raucous as Liberty Stadium has become in recent months with Swansea's most successful campaign in the top flight in its history, we just don't see United walking out of here with three points under any circumstance.
