One of the bigger surprises of the 2015-16 season was that Watford was able to stay up in the Premier League for a second season after gaining promotion from Championship. The Hornets though, definitely look the part of a side set to stay up once again as they prepare for their sixth league fixture of the year against one of this year's newcomers, Burnley.

Odds Analysis
Both of these teams are just going to be happy to stick around in the Premier League this year, and as a result, there isn't a lot separating the two of them. Burnley is playing at home, but the last time it was here in the EPL, things didn't go well at Turf Moor for the most part. This though, is a winnable fixture for a team that really needs as many points as it can get at this stadium. The Clarets are only set at +189 though, as Watford is the slight favorite at +163 on the moneyline.
The Asian Handicap basically shows these two on dead level terms, as the Hornets are PK -119 as the short favorites.
Key Injuries
Watford won't be playing with Brice Dja Djedje or Stefano Okaka on Monday, but the good news is that it should have both Younes Kaboul and Daryl Janmaat back in the fold after both picked up relatively small injuries against Manchester United last week.
Sam Dyche's only injury concern for the Clarets is the strained hamstring of Ashley Barnes. Barnes was dinged up in a friendly before the start of the season and has surprisingly yet to get on the pitch this year even though he was originally supposed to be out for just a short period of time.
Recent Form
Burnley is going to have long stretches of time this year without much in the way of points, and that's what the team is in the middle of right now. The club was beaten 3-0 by Chelsea and Leicester City on the road over the course of the last few weeks, and the one match that was attainable in the middle resulted in just a 1-1 draw against Hull City. The Clarets though, proved that they are capable especially here at Turf Poor when they beat Liverpool 2-0 on August 20 in their last triumph.
Watford has six points in its last two matches against Manchester United and West Ham, shocking results from matches that both theoretically should have ended with nothing to show for it. The Hornets are actually a Top 10 team right now, entering the weekend ninth best on the table, and if this keeps up, not only will they survive, but they'll have a shot at finishing off one of the best seasons in team history to boot.

The names Watford is putting on the pitch aren't those household Premier League names we're used to seeing at some of the bigger clubs, but the Hornets merely keep getting the job and at this point. Troy Deeney has a pair of goals, while Etienne Capoue has four goals out of the midfield already in 2016-17.
However, Dyche is one of the better managers you don't know anything about in England. He did a fantastic job bringing this team right back to the top flight after one year in the second division in spite of the fact that he sold his best player, Danny Ings in the offseason in the relegation summer. This is the type of match that has to be won, and we think a side that has lots of scoring potential will ultimately put a couple home to take a victory over Watford.
Premier League Odds: Burnley 2, Watford 0
