If you talked to Jurgen Klopp right now, he wouldn’t be a happy man. The press has been brutal to him and his Liverpool side all season long, though we must admit that much of it is deserved. The Reds haven’t looked anything like a title contender in a year that was supposed to be its jumping off point with Klopp leading the way, per se. Now, Liverpool has to hit the road to King Power Stadium to take on Leicester City on Saturday afternoon.

Odds Analysis
It’s basically a 50/50 proposition right now as to whether Liverpool will get all three points from this match or not. The Reds are -110 on the moneyline, a seemingly generous price for a team that hasn’t been in the best of form and is playing in a very dangerous venue.
Of course, the Foxes aren’t nearly now what they were two seasons ago when they were the EPL champions. That sad, King Power Stadium can still be a little house of horrors, even for the biggest clubs out there, so that +285 price makes an upset completely believable.
The total is lined at 2.5 with -140 vig on the over, a relatively standard price by English football standards nowadays.
Key Injuries
Sadio Mane is a very lucky boy at the moment. He was issued a red card against Manchester City for a high boot to the head of the goalie. That said, he’s only gotten a three-match suspension, one that could have been a lot longer. He won’t play in this one, but he’ll be back on the pitch on October 1 against Newcastle. Dejan Lovren and Joel Matip are both questionable for this matchup with minor knocks and are trending towards playing. The news isn’t as good for Nathaniel Clyne and Adam Lallana, both of whom are out with leg injuries.
It’s entirely possible that Leicester City is going to have a clean injury list. There are some minor problems right now, as all four key players, Christian Fuchs, Matthew James, Leonardo Ulloa and Jamie Vardy have minor problems. They’re all going to be assessed prior to this match, and with the magnitude of it, we have to imagine that all four are going to ultimately play.
Recent Form
These two teams actually just played against each other in the EFL Cup in this stadium a few days ago, so there won’t be any unfamiliarity for sure. Granted, with substantially lesser sides than what will be on the pitch on Saturday, Leicester walked away with a 2-0 victory to eliminate the Reds.
This is becoming a recurring problem for Liverpool, though. The team has amassed just two draws and two losses in its last four matches, capped by a 5-0 loss at Manchester City back on September 9.
Leicester will certainly be boosted from the effort in the EFL Cup after a disappointing draw on the road against Huddersfield Town a few days prior. The Foxes haven’t won an EPL match since beating Brighton back on August 19.

Craig Shakespeare always seems to get the best out of his side when it really matters, and this might be an opportunity to strike once again. No matter how down this club is at the moment, Vardy remains one of the top strikers in the league, and he’s got a lot of help around him.
This Liverpool defense is in shambles right now, and we don’t see anything getting any better this week. Could the Foxes ultimately run rampant once again and hand Liverpool a second straight loss at King Power? We aren’t discounting the possibility.
Barclays Premier League Odds: Leicester City 3, Liverpool 1
